    Very sturdy and high quality
I was very skeptical whether this would be sturdy enough to get a lot of use. I have compacted clay soil and the manual aerators I’ve used in the past immediately clogged up and were very hard to use. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this. Very solid. Even the tools sent to put it together were very nice and much better quality than the junk that usually gets sent for assembly. I made sure to water the day before using this because my lawn is too hard otherwise. I was able to get this to penetrate the soil without too much effort and the plugs ejected fairly easily. There were a couple spots in the lawn that weren’t quite moist enough and the tool wasn’t able to go down as far as I’d like, but I’m sure if it was prepped better it would have been fine. The holes did get plugged up a couple times, but it was very easy to get them unstuck by poking it with a stick. Again, it was probably because the ground wasn’t quite moist enough. I’ve been doing a little bit of my lawn each day and the tool is holding up well. Very pleased.

    High quality and effective
Excellent quality – even the tools provided for the assembly were much better than what you typically get. I tested by using it on dry compacted soil but will wait for the rain expected today/tomorrow to do the entire lawn instead of just a test patch. I’d but it again.

Best for small lawns. Gets the job done!
This manual aerator is a straightforward tool for improving soil airflow in smaller areas of the lawn. The hollow tines pull out small plugs of soil, which helps reduce compaction and allows water and nutrients to reach the roots more effectively. Then those plugs just pay there on the grass. Which look funny to your grandkids when they come over and wonder why part of your lawn has these weird little dog turds all over it. lol

It’s fairly easy to put together and doesn’t take long to get the hang of. The handle design keeps things comfortable enough for short sessions, and it feels sturdy for regular seasonal use.

That said, like most manual aerators, it does take some effort. It’s best suited for spot treatment or smaller yards rather than large areas unless you enjoy doing this type of thing for long periods of time. Go for it, Mr Incredible. I have better things to do.

Overall, it works as expected without much fuss. Very well built.

Easy to use and sturdy constructio
This manual lawn aerator is of good quality, with solid construction and thick materials. Upon receiving it, I found it was in a semi-assembled state, but all accessories were included, along with simple tools, and it was assembled in just a few minutes. The total length is approximately 37 inches (about 94 cm), and the handle is 1.3 inches wide, providing a comfortable grip. The non-slip blue soft rubber grip feels good and prevents slipping. The three hollow tines at the bottom are replaceable, each about 0.98-0.99 inches in diameter and 4.3 inches long, with an open bottom design for easy removal of the core after insertion into the soil. The entire fork is 8.3 inches wide, reinforced with welds, making it look sturdy and less prone to deformation or breakage—much better than some thinner, cheaper models. Using it is simple: thoroughly water the dry, hard lawn the day before to soften the soil. Stand upright, step on the crossbar with your foot (or press down directly), and push vertically to insert the three prongs into the soil, about 4 inches deep. Then pull them out vertically. Repeat in a different spot. The soil core from the previous application will be squeezed out with the next application, preventing it from getting stuck or piling up. Avoid twisting or prying it while using, as this can damage the tool or the turf. The whole process doesn’t require too much strength, but it is still physically demanding; you’ll break a sweat after mowing a small patch of lawn. After mowing, many small soil columns will remain on the lawn; they will disperse on their own after a few days, or you can simply sweep them away.

Manual Push Core Aerator Lawn Tool.
Over the past 10 years we have been landscaping our acreage by cutting back brush, pulling out deadwood, and promoting healthy growth in the trees. We have made great progress with cleaning up the acreage and promoting healthy growth. This has an added benefit of cutting down on any potential fuel sources for wild wire. However, we have found that there are sections of our acreage that have become hydrophobic and as such any rainfall just seems to pool and evaporate in that area. We decided that we would need to aerate those areas to bring them back to life and so we decided to give this aerator a try. This is a manual professional grade hollow tine aerator made of solid steel, with tempered hollow tines, and has an easy grip handle designed to reduce fatigue. It is built to last and the 3 tines can be replaced or removed for maintenance. Its 3 tempered spikes are precision designed to resist warping while vertically penetrating the soil allowing water, air flow, and nutrients to penetrate and bring it back to life. Just be sure to insert it vertically, do not wiggle it once it has been inserted as it may damage the tines making them less effective. This is just what we needed to get in the hard-to-reach places amongst the trees and properly aerate the soil allowing it to come back to life and flourish. Now that we have cleared out the deadwood and underbrush this will make all the difference. Overall this is a solid well designed aerator that I look forward to using.

    I highly recommend the product.
Awesome product. Possibly the product is on the more expensive side, but the quality is great. The build is very sturdy and the individual studs are built with thick material allowing it is be used in areas where the ground had been compacted and hardened over time. If and any case you damage a stud they are built to be replaced by simply removing a bolt and nut holding them into place.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersSturdy and works
Very well designed and crafted. Quality metal. Sturdy, effective, easy. Plugs eject nicely and can cover a large area relatively quickly. Far superior compared to some others sold on Amazon, particularly like the nowcamp 4 plug aerator that’s made of Chinesium for $69

Update: I was able to get 90% of the front and back yard done and I broke the tool. My soil is clay and rock and severely compacted, so I was tending to rock the tool side to side with my weight on it to get it to punch through in many spots. Did my best but obviously make sure the soil is wet first to keep wear and tear on the tool down.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI'd buy this again!
Excellent tool! I was impressed right away when I opened the box. The packaging was superb and it was easy to assemble. Very sturdy and the coring tips include a wedged Teflon insert so the plugs expel easily. Highly recommend this tool if you have a small lot.

Heavy duty and works well. The only complaint is the size of the connection bolt and nut. Likely depends on your leg length, but they hit me right on the inside of my knee. A recess or cover here would protect you. I plan to tape it up, so it is less blunt. I agree with other reviewers that right after a light rain is the easiest.
