Product description
Handheld Digital Microscope 500X Engineered For Adult Collectors, Jewelers, and Hobbyists

I am always examining small items and trying to see details that are difficult to view with the naked eye, so this handheld digital magnifier immediately caught my attention. I also have upcoming robotics and design projects where I may need to inspect small components, materials, labels, and other fine details.
The built-in screen is bright and easy to see, and the adjustable LED lights help illuminate the object being examined. I tested it on printed words and small graphics, and it definitely enlarged details that I could not see as clearly without magnification.
My favorite feature is the ability to take photos and record videos of what is being magnified. This is more useful than a basic handheld magnifying glass because I can save an image for documentation or review it later. It also has a memory-card slot and a USB connection for storing and transferring files.
There is a slight learning curve. The magnifier needs to be held close to the surface and kept steady to produce a clear image. If it is tilted or held at the wrong distance, the picture can become blurry. After practicing with the positioning and focus, the results improve.
The device feels lightweight, includes a charging cable, wrist strap, and instruction manual, and has several settings for image quality, brightness, photos, and video. Other than that, it is a useful tool for hobbies, crafts, electronics, coins, jewelry, school projects, and anyone who enjoys examining small details.
I’m liking this after just a short time. The light doesn’t seem as bright as another I had but this one also takes photos. Rechargeable battery so you can use anywhere. This one seems to reach crooks that have been hard to examine with others I’ve used.
Amazing lil gadget! I collect records and this is the perfect little tool to see all the inscription on the vinyl runout. Also I looked at coins, jewelry, and some old comics. Good quality and works really well so far. I like that it has different light settings under magnification. So many uses I can think of fur this tool. Would buy again for sure.
Very handy for inspecting watch dials and other small parts
I love watches, and I can look at watch dials all day. On nicer watches, I love how the laser-cut wavy lines reflects against the smooth blue dial. Also how the shiny hands smoothly sweeps across the dial face. To look at these closely, I’ve used several digital microscopes and magnifiers, and they’re really handy when working with small parts. I use this one for things like inspecting watch dials and movements, camera parts and gears, circuit boards, and other things that are just too small to see clearly with the naked eye.
One feature I particularly like is the raised rim around the microscope lens on the bottom. You can basically rest it directly over the object you’re examining, which puts the lens at about the right distance and makes it much easier to get a sharp image. With handheld microscopes, trying to hold the camera at exactly the right distance can be frustrating, so this simple design works well.
The built-in 3-inch screen is also nice because you don’t need to connect it to a phone or computer just to take a quick look at something. The LED illumination is adjustable, and you can capture photos or video to a memory card if you find something you want to document.
It’s compact enough to keep around the workbench and grab whenever I need a closer look at something. For watch, camera, electronics or other small-parts work, I’ve found it very useful. Excellent value for the money.
Really Nice
I work in R&D but picked this up for use around the home, and it’s really nice for the size and price. It takes seconds to get up and running, it’s really easy to use. The zoom is impressive and gives you close up detail on just about anything. Image quality is good. I took a picture of the screen below which adds some extra pixels but you can clearly see Lincoln on the back of a penny. So far I’m happy with the battery life as well, it’ll let you complete any job you need on a charge.
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this as I’ve had less than great experience with similar ones, but this one surprised me in a very good way!
Even the packaging shouts high quality. The microscope came in a thick top-pull box, with precision insert and a well designed and clear user manual.
The feature set on this one is quite amazing. First, it has 2 lenses – the first is for microscopic magnification, and the other is a standard ‘camera’ style. The menu options are versatile and give you fine control of image size, light intensity. It can even record videos, and connect to your PC directly. It has an SD card slot (card not included) but also has a small internal memory so you don’t have to buy a card unless you need the extra storage space.
The IPS screen is bright and clear from all angles, but is of lower resolution than the camera so to see the fine details you’ll need to hookup your PC or transfer the files first.
It has an internal re-chargeable battery, which seems to last a long time even with the highest brightness, but i’ve turned on the auto shut-off just in case I forget it on – note that it is not the default!
The microscope details are quite stunning, and the clear plexiglass surround that establishes the lens height allows for a stable positioning.
Overall, I’m impressed. It’s an excellent value for money for numerous uses. I will be using it mainly on my workbench to inspect PCB traces and SMD components, that my ageing eyes struggle with.
I can see how this will quickly become part of my most used tools!
Highly recommended, and a solid 5 star item!
This is interesting and kind of fun to play with but I personally have little to no use for it. I know what you’re thinking, then why did I order it? I was hoping to use it for reviewing my trading cards so that I could better see the code on the bottom. Unfortunately the focus it just not good for reading fine print. And if you have the light on, all you see is the reflection of the round light. The UV light is interesting.
There might be some solid opportunities when using this wand but I just am not the prime candidate
