Ultra High Definition 4K (3840×2160)
Our GW 4K security cameras featured in these IP systems use advanced 8-Megapixel image sensors and have approximately four times the amount of pixels as a 1080p HD security camera. This UltraHD 4K image sensor allows the camera to capture more light, which improves color, contrast, and low-light performance. IR range and image quality can be affected by surfaces that absorb or reflect the IR light differently when in total darkness. Camera location or position may need to be adjusted to optimize the images. Some ambient lighting provides the best results for night surveillance.

Good tech suppo
I bought this NVR system a few years ago and it was working great until I started getting errors about the hard drive. I reached out to GW Security’s tech support and was lucky enough to get Azaiah on the line. He was incredibly helpful—quickly diagnosed that the HDD was faulty and got a replacement process started right away.
GW Security Camera Tech Team is the best!
Had a slight issue connecting a camera, and I spoke with Azaiah at GW Security who walked me through everything and we realized it was a faulty camera. Azaiah promptly did an RMA and immediately sent me a new camera! These guys are amazing!
Excellent Multi-Camera Security System
Installed this system on a larger property and it has worked great. Camera clarity is impressive during both the day and night, and the 32-channel setup gives plenty of room for expansion. Remote viewing through the app is smooth and the NVR has been reliable so far. Overall, a solid professional-grade system for anyone needing dependable coverage.
Worth Every Dolla
I cannot say enough good things about this company or their product. I own a childcare facility and needed the camera system replaced as the old one was outdated and not functioning as it should. We got some estimates from local companies to replace and the estimates all came in at over $20,000. Our budget could not support that kind of expense.
We did some searching and found this camera system and are so glad that we did. The picture quality is fantastic! The tech support cannot be beat (I have worked tech support for IT companies so speaking from experience. Installation was easy enough that simple lay people can get it installed and functioning with very little assistance.
The best part of this whole thing is that this is an AMERICAN company. The product is made in USA and the tech support is located in USA.
We will recommend this product to anyone looking for a new security system!!

This is a long review and I hope you find it has valuable information
The NVR just works. The software is pretty easy to work with too. More importantly their customer service is outstanding. Unfortunately it is a P2P device that so many manufactures are using so that you can view your cameras remotely with phones, etc. Be careful because it creates an insecure network. if you don’t need to see your cameras remotely, then you can get around the P2P problem using powerline equipment.
I have it connected to a 32 inch TV using HDMI. The NVR video feed is very clear. Motion detection, timed and scheduled recording works well. PTZ controls and presets also work great. The unit recognized most of the cameras that I have purchased without a hitch. I have used GW, Dahua PTZ’s, Onwote and Xavee PTZ’s. The only ones I had trouble with getting recognized was Hikvision and some of the cheaper domes and bullets.
If you use Dahua be sure to activate it and change it’s admin password using the Dahua software before you try connecting to the NVR. The NVR will recognize it but you will have to click on it and manually add it and key in the admin password for it to take. Overall the Dahua’s are beautiful cameras and amazingly they really don’t need the IR as long as you have a little ambient light. It does not take much at all.
Simply great customer service too! They are knowledgeable and responsive with phone calls and and emails. Before I purchased it I spoke with one of their tech’s to understand how it works and he was very generous with his time. They generally respond withing hours to emails too. I had a problem with the video out six months after purchase and they immediately shipped me a new one while I was in the process of returning the RMA unit. Just excellent service.
I originally loved this device and gave it a five star rating. Then I learned one thing to be aware of. It is a P2P device. Unfortunately practically the entire industry is using P2P to allow people to easily view their cameras online. It is dangerous for your network security.
It will open ports on your network and phones home without your knowledge or consent. P2P devices convert your network to function like a torrent site and leaves your network open for anyone to easily hack. All of this while the software presents itself as allowing you to make the choice to access your video from the internet and the associated risks.
There are more secure ways to do allow people to see their cameras remotely but it is a more complicated set up. It would be nice if the industry used it. I suggest you read articles on P2P network devices before you make a decision to use one on your network. In one article a security expert used the analogy that use of these devices is like going on vacation for an extended period and leaving all your doors and windows open.
I don’t need to see my video online so I bypassed my network router and I am using powerline equipment which uses the electrical wiring in your home to create a network. It’s a closed network and cannot access the regular one. I’m using Comtrend 9172’s with POE switches and it works great. They also make a POE unit which is great for single camera use. I am amazed at how fast and stable the Comtrend powerline network is and it’s so easy to do. I wish I had known about these devices before. They are just amazing.
