I absolutely love this camera! The picture quality is really clear, and I’m especially impressed with how well I can see everything, even at night. I also love being able to check the camera right from my phone when I’m not in the room. It’s small and discreet, so I can put it almost anywhere without it being in the way.
The battery life has been great for me, and the motion detection is another feature I really like. For such a small camera, it definitely does more than I expected. It was easy to set up and has worked great since I got it. I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a small indoor security camera! 10/10 for me!
Great Camera
WAY better camera than my other 1s. I have the small round 1s. Camera not bad but volume sucks. This 1 is CRYSTAL CLEAR SOUND and a better picture. Would buy from them again.
With any camera when setting it up when you need to scan the barcode on the camera sticker it’s a pain because it’s so small and trying to judge the distance not so good. Just wish all the places sent a piece of paper with that barcode on so when blindly scanning it makes it easier. Still great when set up. Battery lasts long and camera app tells you the percentage.
Honestly,I picked this up specifically so I could check in on my two cats during the workday, and it’s been fantastic. The picture quality is sharp enough that I can see exactly what they’re up to (usually napping, occasionally causing chaos), and the pan/tilt is smooth so I can follow them around the room without any lag. The night vision works well too for those early mornings before the lights come on.
Setup was straightforward, the app connection is reliable, and I’ve had zero issues with drops or disconnects. I check in multiple times a day from my phone and it connects quickly every time. Two way audio is a fun bonus: I can tell them to get off the counter, which they completely ignore.
If you’re looking for a solid, affordable pet cam, this is it. Does exactly what it should, no fuss.
It’s a minimally priced camera that is relatively small, and can be placed inconspicuously or in full view. If I were wanting professional equipment to guard my home, I would invest in such and leave this to those not willing to spend the thousands required for state-of-the-art home security. I live in an apartment building where many people in the main office have access to master keys and have the capability to enter premises at random such as pest control, HVAC/fire extinguisher inspections, or other general maintenance concerns. This camera’s purpose serves as a simple indicator and warning when I’m out of my apartment, and so far has worked as advertised.
I bought this with low expectations for the price, and was surprised with its capabilities. This is a initial review, and am wary that in a few months like others have reported that it will cease functioning to force me into a sub-fee. I’ll revisit the rating should this happen.
1. This is a Chinese-made camera and because of that, expect it will have some function where it sends footage/audio back to the company-owned cloud (and ultimately the Chinese government via proxy). There are some ratings that discuss those specifics for DIY system monitoring. If you use TikTok or affiliate apps, you need not concern yourself with this minor impact on your life! I set it near a simple RF scanner for some time while it was powered off after connecting for the first time and I didn’t find any hits–expect the camera to send your images/audio to the cloud for that purpose (probably only while its powered on). It generates a lot of heat and can be easily spotted through a thermal camera which is a downside for concealment and gives initial concern over the battery’s potential lifespan.
2. I purchased a 128 GB micro-USB drive for about $15 separately as it doesn’t come with one and it is needed to properly function. The set-up helped format the drive, and the painless process took about 60 seconds. I pointed it at my TV from about 20 feet away (~7m), and monitored the video from afar, which was clean, and only a few minor latency issues–not a concern for my use. The audio came in at a low volume and was only intermittently captured (also a non-issue).
3. I connected the camera to a spare phone’s hotspot as I’m wary of directly connecting the camera to my gateway (router/modem).
4. Setup for me was not painful and took about 2-3 minutes. I spent more time thinking of usernames and passwords than on setting up the hardware! There is a point in setup where I was told to hold the camera 4″ away from the phone while it creates a 90’s reminiscent dial-up sound. I setup the camera twice, and while the first time took what seemed like forever (I constantly moved the camera around expecting a faster connection), the second time worked in about 5 seconds.
5. For $35 I received: a small, dark-black box-looking device that is relatively easy to conceal and for a little time to set-up, a well-rounded and current view of my entrance, living room and kitchen at the touch of finger on my phone no matter how far I go (with an additional micro-usb purchase). No, I didn’t expect this device to provide a full array of thermal and 4th gen color night vision, complimented by LIDAR with acoustic and pressure/vibration/scent sensing and to throw 360 degree treats at my pets and entertain my kids because reality. I expected it to behave and function exactly as if it were found in the electronics bin at the local Lidl grocery store fully embedded with Chinese-spyware to let me know if someone entered my abode while I’m away, and so far I am not disappointed.
I’ve had this camera for about two weeks, and I love it! I live in an apartment with a foyer, and I’ve been thinking of getting a camera to keep an eye on my Amazon deliveries for awhile. (Check the rules in your state and lease.) I haven’t been the victim of porch pirates, but with Christmas coming up, you never know.
The camera is roughly the size of a ping pong ball and is seriously easy to use. I charged it up, downloaded the app, connected to my phone and wifi, and mounted it outside of my door within minutes. Easy peasy!
Sometimes apps for items like this are confusing and don’t have all the features you’d like. This app is extensive and provides so many ways of customizing it. I got a 128 GB memory card, but I got one month of cloud storage as well to see if I like it. It is easy to access, and I’ve had no problems with it.
If someone decided to steal the camera, I would need the video to identify them, making cloud storage vital. The cloud storage is cheaper than having a package stolen, so I will renew it for a year for this reason. (In Dec 2025, one year of cloud storage is $22 (keeps the last 7 days) or $39 (keeps the last 30 days.)
The connection has never dropped, to my knowledge. If I watch live and open my door, there is about a one second lag between the activity and the image on my phone. This isn’t a problem, and I imagine most cameras do the same thing.
The picture is extremely clear, even with night vision. I set it up to alert me when it senses movement, and you can choose to record for 5 sec, 10 sec, 20 sec, 30 sec, or continuously.
High motion sensitivity is indeed high because the camera has been triggered occasionally on sunny days when a shadow from a delivery truck crosses the foyer! There also settings for medium and low sensitivity.
As for the battery, it holds a charge amazingly. In two weeks, I still have 2/3 of the battery charge, and that is with the camera triggering 20+ times a day, and with some longer recordings of several minutes at a time.
Now, story time! This camera has been useful in a very unexpected way.
There are only four units in my building, but the new couple who moved in upstairs is a mess. They have been arguing, yelling, and banging things multiple times a day, even during the quiet hours indicated in the lease. My neighbor across the hall from them said his wife called him at work about it and said their kids were scared. We both emailed the manager about it each time it happened. (Seriously, I don’t know how two people can argue so much and not split up.)
The manager assured us that she spoke with the tenants after each report. The tenants apparently told the manager four times that there was no problem at home and that they would be mindful of the noise. Which they weren’t.
I wanted to have a recording of what was happening so the severity would be clear, and it wouldn’t seem like I was being oversensitive. I tried using my phone, but the noise canceling blocked the yelling as background noise.
However, I was able to use the camera to record the sound because it echoed into the foyer. I easily downloaded it and shared it with the manager who agreed my prior descriptions were spot on. I’m so glad I could send evidence of the disturbance because I realize apartment living comes with unavoidable noise, and I wanted the manager to be confident that the disturbance was extreme.
Blessedly, we have been able to sleep undisturbed the last few nights instead of being startled awake by yelling, stomping and door slamming. The daytime disturbances still occur once or twice, but for a shorter duration. I don’t hear the man arguing back, and often I can see that the man just leaves the apartment.
A reliable simple-to-use security camera with local video storage.
I’ve recently purchased a dozen of these cameras. They really work great! Easy to set up, and easy to use. I use the vendor’s app running on an iPad Pro to configure and control them. The cameras are small, and the mounting bracket makes mounting the cameras onto walls simple. I had a number of requirements, and this camera meets all of them: local SD-card video storage (the vendor does offer cloud storage, which is configurable), very long battery life on a charge (I’m getting 30+ days on a charge – they sleep when nothing is happening, and wake up when motion is detected), no blinky attention-getting LEDs when in use (from the camera-side they are dark, I assume that’s the “hidden spy camera” feature!), easy to point (image can be inverted if camera mounting is inverted), good image quality both in normal room lighting and low-light environments (low-light video is monochrome, but resolution and contrast are excellent), automatic switching to low-light mode as necessary, and easy to un-mount for recharging when required (camera easily unclips from mounting bracket). The app is simple enough to use without instruction, and has been 100% reliable. The app has no problem handling 12 cameras at the same time. The app will notify you whenever there is motion in a monitored room, telling you which camera detected the motion — perfect for my application! The fact that the camera only starts recording when there is motion, and after a time-out goes back to sleep when there is no motion means the video that is recorded has all the static “nothing is happening” video excluded from the recording — no fast-forwarding through static images of a room nor SD-cards full of nothing. With a dozen cameras, I had to up my game with respect to USB charging, and bought a 10-port 60 watt USB charger so I can charge them in one session (I have a separate 2-port USB adapter as well). If you can get power to them when mounted, the cameras do operate while plugged in for charging, so that is an option. I highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for a reliable and simple-to-use security camera that comes with a well written app to configure and control the camera.

Great little camera for the price. The video quality is clear, setup was easy, and the motion detection works well. Battery life is impressive, and the night vision provides a clear view in low light. Overall, a reliable and affordable security camera with solid performance for everyday home monitoring.
Very easy to set up. I needed a small camera to keep an eye on things when I’m not around, and this little beauty really delivered. The video and sound quality are very impressive for such a small size camera, and the user interface on the app is very easy and user friendly. Took less than 5 minutes to set it up and have it running.

Wonderful compact camera!
Very nice little camera gadget…everything else works as described! Easy setup, VERY portable, short of being able to rotate it through the app, this little cam goes places a regular sized security cam can’t. I purchased a micro card for motion detection. The app works very well, the only con is the price. I paid $15 less for a competitive cam that I can rotate…otherwise I am satisfied with this item.
