In an attempt to quit coffee, I was searching high and low for a stainless kettle that wasn’t too fussy and wasn’t too small. This is perfect. The watermark inside is embossed rather than ink which would bleed into the food at some point. The base is very neat and clean and simple. It warms up a full pot in seven minutes and then shuts off automatically to reheat. You have to restart, but that has not been an issue for me.
This is my first electric kettle and I really like it! It boils water very fast, and reheating water for my second cup of coffee is even faster. It’s easy to use. Totally stainless steel inside, sturdy handle, auto shut off works great.
This kettle has such a nice design. It’s easy to keep clean, the double walls do keep the water hot enough for a second pour. Compared to other kettles I’ve used the lovely design comes with some issues. Mainly the angle and speed of pouring, it flows over the wide edge as well if pouring to fast, and the top of the handle is close to the hot lid and I’ve burned myself slightly. My habits will change to compensate but I took one star off for it. Hard to find something this stylish and good quality in the price range. The larger size was another reason I got it. I’d buy a second one without hesitation if I needed it.
This is such a beautiful and sleek kettle. Its easy to fill, easy to use, boils timely, you can sit the kettle on the base in any direction, the cord can be wrapped up under the base to expose just the length you need or tucked away all together. Its so easy to clean. I absolutely love that the interior is one sleek piece covering the whole inside including the heating element as well as the pour spout. Hot water is not exposed to any plastic parts – which is only on the exterior- no plastic on the interior of the spout nor the rim. Yes, it’s not the quitest when it’s getting up to a boil and the lid only opens 1/2 way when you press the button to open the lid but that has not been an issue. To open the lid fully you have to push it the rest of the way manually which I thought would be weird with hot water in it but I have never had the need to ever have to do that when there has been hot water in it. I just like this kettle so much that neither of those things are a big deal to me.
This kettle looks nice on the counter, is a good size, and boils fast. There are a couple of functional flaws to be aware of:
* It doesn’t stop heating when you lift it off the base, and if you set it back down mid-boil it resumes heating. Every other kettle I’ve owned shuts off the moment it leaves the base.
* You have to pour slowly at first or it dribbles out the lid.
* The lid doesn’t open all the way without a nudge.
For the price, these are minor and easy to live with.
Just got my new Kettle after a similar name brand one started leaking on me. This kettle is simple, which is exactly what we wanted so my teens can use it with ease. It looks so nice on my counter and seems to be good quality. Hopefully it will hold up to the amount of use our family will give it!!
