I got this bread box today and my 14 year old kiddo put it together in no time.
Except for the back panel, this box is solid wood with a very nice grain and color. The wood is smooth and will wipe down easily.
The plexi glas inserts look like actual glass, not cheap at all.
The two doors open and close perfectly and stay put with magnetic closures.
They are strong enough to hold the doors up but you don’t need to pull very hard to open them either.
I was concerned about the size since the top shelf gets smaller but it’s very spacious and holds a lot.
It fits perfectly into its space and now my counter looks put together and not cluttered anymore.
Definitely recommend this product.
This is a very unique and stylish bread box. The warm color looks great in my kitchen, and the wood is nice and thick, so it feels sturdy instead of flimsy. The doors close with a magnetic latch that actually holds, which is a small miracle in the world of kitchen gadgets. I also love the window so I can see what’s inside without opening it mostly to confirm if the bread has once again mysteriously vanished.
What really won me over is the shelf inside, which makes it easy to separate things, and the lip around the top so I can store small items up there without them sliding off every time I open the box. It’s also plenty big for my family of five, which means it holds a lot though usually not for very long LOL.
Overall, despite a cosmetic “issues”, it’s a solid bread box and a very good value for the price. I would definitely recommend.
I’ve found myself getting many Acacia wood items for the kitchen. I like the look and kind of random coloration and patterns. I definitely prefer this one over a more vintage looking one that we also have. This double bread box comes disassembled, coming complete with all hardware and tools needed. Assembly was simple and quick, within minutes it went from flat pieces to being ready for use. It offers plenty of storage for all your bread needs, really holding a lot. It feels solid and well made, complete with anti-slip pads for all the bottom corners. The top is made in a way that items can be stored on top too. The magnetic latches work well and are strong enough to hold the doors shut when a bit overloaded. The lower level is deeper so can hold more than the top level. The windows in the doors are a kind of obscured plastic. It fits right along with other items we have in our kitchen.
This is a beautiful Acacia Wood Bread Box. The warm glow of this reddish brown wood adds a nice element of elegance to my simple kitchen. The Breadbox is fairly wide and has a little outer shelf at the top and two enclosed shelves that have see thru doors. The wood is hard and durable.
The breadbox is simple to put to use. It is a generous size and lends itself to a wide variety of uses. I may display my tea and coffee on the top shelf and just keep breads in the lower two compartments that seem to be airtight. My kitchen is not very big so I’ll be looking for more ways to maximize it’s taking up counter space.
It is priced right for the quality of the product. I would buy again and/or buy it as a gift.
The shape (trapezoidal) and design of the box means that it can be used in kitchens of all sorts of designs and decorative schemes.
This two compartment bread box matches my kitchen cabinets very well and adds much needed storage in a deep corner of my countertop that is otherwise hard to reach. It has made that space much more accessible so I no longer need a stool to reach items in the back.
The unit feels solid and is made from real wood, with the exception of the back panel which is a coated cardboard with a wood grain finish that blends in well with the sides. Assembly was straightforward and took under 30 minutes. Every piece was labeled with an easy to remove sticker that matched the picture instructions, and the necessary tools such as the L wrenches were included.
The design is practical and attractive. The frosted and fluted door panels allow items to be stored inside without fully revealing everything, which helps it keep a tidy look on the counter. The bottom compartment is a bit more spacious since the box tapers upward toward the top section. The magnetic closures are strong enough to keep the doors closed but not so strong that the unit slides forward when opening the handles. The hinged doors open forward and lie parallel with the countertop, and the hinges feel smooth and solid. I just make a point not to put any weight on the top door while it is open since it has less support.
I am not currently storing bread in it because my home can be humid and bread tends to mold quickly. Instead, I have been using it to store whole wheat grains and pasta for easy grab and go access during meal prep. It dusts off easily and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth when needed.
My only small critique is the price. It feels a bit higher than I would expect considering the back panel is not real wood and the screws remain visible after assembly since there are no decorative covers included. Even so, it has been a helpful way to add storage and make better use of an awkward corner of my counter.
