Plain Jane Box - So not super gift friendly
This is a cute little baby play gym. The mat is soft and feels relatively durable. Honestly, babies don’t use these things nearly as long as we all think they will, so it should hold up just fine for the duration of their use. My biggest “issue” is the packaging. A lot of people buy baby products to gift to others and the packaging on this product is plain jane. It’s a brown cardboard box with black font writing and labels. There is no picture to show a recipient what they are receiving. So if you’re wanting to gift this, it may be something that would be better presented outside of the box – or maybe print a picture of it and tape it to the box.
Great variety of textures!
Such a cute playmat! It has a great variety of textures with the ribbons, bumpy fabrics, crinkle material, knotted strings, and play rings. The material of the whole playmat is soft and plush, but with a slick feeling that seems like it will be easy to clean. I love the inclusion of the high contrast plush book on the mat, it’s perfect for being able to use right away with very young newborns while still having a good variety to keep older babies interested.
It’s a bit pricey compared to other play mats/play gyms, but it seems to be very sturdy and good quality so I won’t criticize the price too heavily. The listing states that the mat is machine washable which is great if that’s true! I haven’t personally tried it myself but if I do end up throwing it in the wash and it falls apart or the stitching gets loose I will absolutely be sure to update my review.
Pricey but has lots of stimulation for baby
This is a great play mat for babies, don’t get me wrong. The only reason I knocked off one star is because the price is high (currently on sale for $65.99 down from $79.99) compared to similar products.
Overall, it was very easy to assemble. I did not need to look at the directions. I do appreciate that it’s pretty easy to detach the base mat should it ever need to be washed making cleaning it really easy. The mat is flat but soft. The toys are soft also. It comes with 3 hanging objects and a mirror with a protective film. It has 5 different sensory areas on the mat (see pictures) and comes with flash cards for baby. I would say this mat is appropriately sized for infants to 9 months. It does have quite a bit of space under the arches. I love the colors. I think the colors are neutral enough for a boy or a girl.
As an added bonus, the mat comes with a book that talks about various stages during your baby’s development. The flash cards also progress as the baby gets older.
This blissful diary baby play gym is honestly one of the most well thought out baby play mats I’ve come across. It reminds me of that one name brand subscription based company that does baby products, they have a very similar baby play mat but you need to buy a subscription to get it. This one is just as nice if not nicer. It has all the main elements you’d want and need for baby’s development. A place to explore sounds, one for textures, one for high contrast visual cards and so many other small things for baby to do during tummy time or just laying down on the mat. It’s thick enough that it’s still super comfortable on our hardwood floors. The sizing is perfect for many months, my newborn has tons of room to grow and still fit on and enjoy this play mat. He loves it already and has so much fun exploring the hanging plush toys and staring at himself in the mirror. It was incredibly easy to put together and it’s just beautiful in general. It doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb when I have it out in my living room. I LOVE this play gym and so does my little guy! I’ll be keeping my eyes open for more from this brand.
We love it!
Absolutely adore this! Our little girl loves it. She is approaching 5 months old and I wish I had this in the beginning of her 4 month stage. She is now rolling and lifting her head, which makes her SO intrigued in all the different activity zones. This has kept her so busy and has let me get things done around the house. The quality is amazing, and so easy to clean! Very plush as well, and the color of the pink is my favorite. 10/10 recommend!
Soft, Easy to Set Up, and Keeps Little Ones Busy
I picked this up as a gift, and I was impressed with it once I got everything out of the box. It only took a couple of minutes to snap together, and all of the toys attach easily.
The mat itself is soft with a little extra padding, which is nice for tummy time. There are a lot of different textures and toys to keep babies interested, and I like that you can remove the hanging toys or move them around if you want.
The colors are also a plus. They’re bright enough to catch a baby’s attention without being overly loud, so it doesn’t look out of place sitting in the living room.
The only downside is the price. There are definitely less expensive play gyms out there. That said, this one feels well made, and the mat is nicer than a lot of the cheaper options I’ve seen.
If you’re looking for a baby shower gift or just want a play mat that should last through the early stages, I think this is a good choice.
I got this play gym for my baby niece. I love that this has options and can be adjusted as she grows. My kids are too old for baby toys, but my sister had a baby and I wanted to get a play gym to keep at my house for when she visits. I came across this Blissful Diary Baby Play Gym in the Boho Rainbow theme and it looked perfect! The play gym is pretty easy to assemble, just attach the arms to the play mat and hang the included detachable toys. This play gym comes with everything! It has four detachable toys that help with tactile cues for baby (sound, touch, and visual) ranging from a cloud mirror, to a rainbow rattle toy, to a squeaky star and a Montessori ball. There is also a separate set of cognitive cards that have contrasting colors. The mat itself has several different areas including a color zone, touching zone, sounds zone and hiding/finding zone. I really enjoy the color scheme, a muted rainbow theme that blends nicely with most decor but is also attention grabbing for baby. The play gym is soft and gentle for baby to lay on and has many different things to keep them occupied. Overall I am very impressed with the quality of this play gym from the construction, to the variety of toys and things to do, to the color scheme and softness of the mat. I think the price is higher than some other play gyms I’ve seen, but this gym comes with so many things to entertain and teach baby that I think the price is justified. I am happy with my purchase and excited for my niece to use it when she visits.
