Product description

I bought this binoculars for my 6 year old daughter. She really likes it and it’s a neat toy, but I’m mixed about how I feel about it.
I was drawn to this gift because I like the idea of binoculars that zoom and my daughter could go and explore and have more off-screen fun. To that point, the picture quality and zoom and really good for a kids toy. The screen navigation is easy enough – I like that there are tactile buttons for everything and it’s pretty intuitive how to navigate. My daughter loves taking pics. The video function does require an extra SD card and we don’t have one yet so haven’t used the video feature. Bummer one isn’t included. The binoculars also have a good weight to them – they feel solid and not cheap at all. The rubber on the eyes is soft and good quality. The night vision is a pretty cool feature. My daughter has enjoyed this through the window in the evening. It has a lot of different night vision levels, but I’m not sure why that’s necessary. Seems like a single or two levels would have sufficed.
My problem with this binocular gift is that it honestly feels more like a screen that happens to have a random pair of binoculars attached to it – making it bigger and more awkward to hold. The binoculars are pretty simple and don’t add a lot. The camera function does the zoom and pictures. In addition, the screen comes with a lot of games. It is password protected, so you can keep your kid off of it, but it won’t stop you from hearing the constant “can I play games” whining. I wish it didn’t have games on it and was truly just binoculars. The advertisements tout getting kids off screens, but I really feel like this is just another screen masked as binoculars.
Overall, these are multipurposed binoculars that provide a lot of on-screen features. I probably wouldn’t buy again.
Cool gadget, maybe does too much.
Okay for 3 weeks I’ve used these while supervising the kids using them, they are a little bulkier than I think little hands can hold while trying to focus and do the 101 other things these binoculars do. They are very cool, and I know kids are technologically advanced now, but maybe having a camera and binoculars separate at least under 6 would be the way to go. This has a lot of bells and whistles, plays games, takes photos and the night vision is cool, but it’s too much to figure out at one time. Also, for the listed price, I worried about them dropping, breaking losing them when we went places.
Fun Kids Binoculars With Great Features
These are a really fun toy and feel well made for the price. The hardware feels sturdy, the screen quality is surprisingly good, and the binocular focus adjustment works well.
The night vision is basic, using different levels of black and white, but it works as expected. My only complaint is that you have to cycle through the night vision settings to return to the normal color screen instead of having a dedicated button to turn it on and off.
I also like that they can record videos, charge with USB-C, and it comes in a nice giftable box. Overall, these are a great set of kids’ binoculars with more features than expected.
Boy!! this is an AMAZAING set of binoculars. These are great for adults, not just kids. Kids like them because there are so many fun things to do with them. Take pictures or videos in black & white or color (amazing), and sound on the videos! Night vision is cool. I’ve never used night vision before, these are fun and really work. Can take pictures and videos while in night vision.
The 1 1/2″ x 2″ pop-up screen sounds small but it shows everything so clearly and easy to see. You can use it for scrolling around with the 6 different apps and use replay for videos.
You can either save the photos/videos to a mini-SD card (you have to buy separately), or enjoy them on the screen and delete.
This kit is so so versatile! The settings app is just like a photo app on your phone. Opens many many options!!
Really remarkable.
These kids’ binoculars are packed with features and have been a big hit. The 10X optical zoom works well for casual outdoor use, and the 2.4″ screen makes it easy for kids to see what they’re looking at without needing to squint through lenses. The photo and video functions are a fun bonus that adds to the experience and keeps kids engaged.
The build feels lightweight but sturdy enough for kids, and the included games are a nice extra for keeping them entertained. They’re easy enough for a child to figure out after a few minutes of use, especially for ages in the recommended range.
Overall, this is a fun STEM-style outdoor toy that encourages exploration and makes a great gift. It’s more about fun and engagement than professional optics, but it delivers exactly what kids will enjoy.
My son loves using these binoculars to watch the bug wars going on around a wasp nest on our property line. This summer, he does not care about Netflix, he just wants to see the wasps fight ants, bees and hornets.
Honestly, I grabbed these so my boy could scout the trees and critters on our family hikes and backyard campouts. He lights up every time the screen shows clear views even after the sun drops, and the photo mode lets him snap shots of birds or squirrels to show the cousins later. The zoom feels solid in small hands and the night feature turns dark corners into something exciting without any fuss. Playback is quick so he can check his finds right away and the whole thing holds up to rough play. One quirky bit is how the infrared light makes everything look a bit green and spooky which he thinks is hilarious and keeps him hunting longer. Battery lasts through a full afternoon of exploring and charging is simple. It sparks real curiosity about the woods around us and doubles as a fun way to practice spotting details. We take it along most weekends now and he treats it like treasure.
The build feels tough enough for kids yet light enough to carry without complaint, a great educational toy.
