This is a lovely set. The tiles are well embossed, and the colors are beautiful, coordinating with a lot of the cute Mahjongg accessories that are out there.
The set includes a sturdy carrying bag with separate bags for tile storage and rack storage.
The only reason I did not give it five stars is because the fabric is very shiny, making it look a bit cheap.
Great set! Came with everything to learn american mahjong. Its my first set and it was super affordable compared to other sets. Really like the bags that it all fits in and looks very nice.
I like this set but I wish I would have known a few things- the tiles only came with 4 blanks (we play with 6 that most sets come with). This set does not come with a mat. It did come with an extra set of flower tiles but the extra set is missing the number 2 tile but has an extra 3 tile. The pushers are made for playing with 19 tiles- we play with 20. I will say that the pushers actually perform well even with the 20 as the length catches the 20th tile a little also and you just need to stabilize with a finger on the end. Overall, I’m happy enough that I kept the product but I also had a game the day after it arrived so I didn’t have time to return.
I just got into mahjong and there is so many items it’s hard to pick a good set. I came across this Bale set and at the time there was only one review but I took a chance. Something about it just seemed right and that it was a good solid set. So glad I did. Bags are great quality and racks are nice and the tiles are really nice and engraved. Only thing is I wish the NSEW die was square and not rectangle. If you are to roll it to see who is east it doesn’t roll well. Rectangle is an odd choice.
I did have 8 tiles that had some sort of blemish on each. I paid for a perfect set and had 8 marred tiles. I took a chance and reached out to the company to see if they would replace them and they did. No questions asked just needed to send photo of proof. Within a day they got a replacement going and they arrived today. All 8 tiles in perfect condition.
If you are looking for a great starter set you can’t wrong with this one.
This set is so nice. I love the carrying bag. It is great quality and sewn well. The set includes a bag made from the same material for the racks and that one has a drawstring. There is also a smaller zip bag that matches for your tiles and other things. The tiles are really thick and made well. There is nothing that could have been done better. I am just a beginner but I always feel like you might as well pay a little more for a really nice set and it last longer.
I’m just beginning to learn American Mahjong and wanted my own set so I could practice alone. This set arrived in time and the tiles are beautiful; racks are good and I’m ready to start practicing!
