Product description

Indoor garde
Excellent product easily put together and set up. After a few days veggies are staring to sprout. Will buy more to put around our kitchen. Timer for lighting works great also
This is my first attempt at trying out hydroponics and was looking for a “beginner” unit to get my feet wet (HA!). I chose this product based on the numerous positive reviews and reasonable price.
One thing that was not clear to me in the instructions was how to set the automatic timer for the lights. Research online gives two different answers… one says that the timer starts when you “plug it in” and another says it starts when you turn on the light. I tried everything and the light seemed to stay on indefinitely.
This is where customer service comes in. Their customer service is top notch. I was emailing with “Ava” who went above and beyond to explain what I needed to do and helped me troubleshoot. With several emails back and forth, Ava responded to each question within 24 hours and showed the utmost patience with even what might seem to be the smallest of questions. After a couple of days, everything was resolved above and beyond what I was expecting. She even provided suggestions for “first timers” like me as to what plants to consider as I get accustomed to hydroponics.
The one minor “con” is that the timer is automatic and is not adjustable, so if the power goes out, the system will reset and with a 16 hour on / 8 hour off cycle, you need to plan your reset time accordingly when the power goes back on. However, this is very minor considering the overall low cost of the system. I would love to see a system that has a timer that can be set, like with a digital clock… but at this price, the system is big bang for your buck.
One other thing… the water pump, which runs 30 minutes on / 30 minutes off is so quiet, that more than once at the onset of testing the unit out, I actually had to remove some of the covers to see the water flowing. As mentioned above, I have this in the bedroom so that is a HUGE plus in my book. Now that the light issue is resolved, I am loving watching my cherry tomato seeds sprout and grow.
Once I get the full hang of this, I plan to expand to a few larger, maybe even a tower unit and Ahopegarden covers all those bases. Thanks to Ava, in a few months, I will be a repeat customer.
UPDATE: Did 5 pods in all and covered the other 5. The golden cherry tomatoes sprouted, but because I didn’t place the sprouted seeds in the pods correctly, the roots grew up and out the top, stunting the plants. Even when I tried then to pull them out and put them back in, they didn’t get any bigger. TOTALLY USER ERROR. One of the red cherry also sprouted, but despite what appeared to be good root growth, it never grew beyond the first few leaves and stayed deep in the pod. Cough that up to a bum seed… However, the other 2 cherry are growing like weeds! Big, hearty plants that seem to grow bigger by the day. The roots are long and plentiful. See pics.
Going to start a couple more seedlings to “try again” with the golden cherry, hoping to learn from my initial mistakes and strengthen my skills with different herbs, leafy greens and vegetables as I add additional Ahopegarden units to my indoor “garden”!
I’m delighted with this planter, so much so that I bought one and three days later I bought a second one.
You might be wondering why?
Analyzing the situation, I came to the conclusion that they lend themselves to intensive, not very varied planting. Let me explain. I’m going to dedicate them to planting lettuce and cherry tomatoes with a basil plant in each. The lettuces are planted in two stages: half at the beginning and the other half when I start harvesting. That way, there will be a constant, uninterrupted harvest.
I’ll do an update when it happens.
Now, the important part. Both sets arrived in perfect condition with everything included except the seeds. I’m waiting for the lettuces tomorrow to start the experiment.. I checked that the pumps and lights were working. Everything is perfect. The pumps aren’t noisy, barely a whisper like a fish tank.
The lights are a little hard to raise and lower, but that’s a good thing, since they can be removed and adjusted outside the planter, ensuring they won’t fall on the plants.
All the equipment is plastic, but I feel like it will be durable. In any case, I’ll update it as I reach the different stages. In principle, I dare recommend it for beginners like myself. Time will tell if I’m right, but I’m convinced my plan will work.
Update: 9/7..
I went crazy!!
I also bought the two-story Ahoopegarden… big mistake.

I didn’t consider that I’d be unable to work in the planter below. I’m working on a solution.
I installed a four-outlet air pump. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CL27ZZYW?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
It works perfectly. I did this because my house has a constant temperature of 80F, which affects the planters and causes the dissolved oxygen in the water to decrease, increasing the risk of problems for the plants. Solution? An air pump like they use in aquariums.
Today, 9/7, I already have basil, cherry tomatoes, and several different lettuces already sprouted.
When I find the solution to the 44-pod planter, I’ll do an update.
I found it. This rolling table is perfect. It’ll be arriving home on Wednesday.
I’ll make an update for it by Friday.
Update 9/17…
Well, the solution worked. This is how look now over the table. As you can see several plants already sprouted.
Lettuces, cherry tomatoes, basil, arugulas coming on the back. Looks like the dill sprouted too.
Now the final problem that I have to fix is the temperature of the water on the tanks. It is 80 F… to hight…
I’m working on it right now. I will make an update when I found the solution.
Now the small ones… they are excellent. They went from zero to these latest photos in 17 days. Not bad, not bad at all, right? The basil, cherry tomatoes, and lettuce are in full development. A few more days and I’ll start pulling off a few leaves to test the flavor… LOL!!
The tomatoes… just have to wait…
Update 09/24
Yesterday I harvested my first lettuce.
Delicious. Sweet and very, very tender.
It was so delicious that there was not enough for both of us. LOL!!
Here’s a review that highlights the strengths and convenience of this hydroponic growing system:

**Amazing Hydroponic Garden System — Fast Growth and So Easy to Use!**
I am so impressed with this hydroponic growing system! Setting up my own indoor herb garden has been such a rewarding experience, and the results are incredible. The plants truly do grow **up to 300% faster than in soil**, thanks to the efficient hydroponic setup and **full-spectrum LED light**. It’s amazing to see the difference in growth speed and health compared to traditional planting.
The **10-pod setup** gives me plenty of space to grow a variety of herbs and veggies, and it’s a great deal compared to smaller systems I’ve seen. The **water level window** is a brilliant touch, making it easy to check when it’s time to add water without any guesswork.
I love the **adjustable lighting modes** too! The two settings—blue for veggies and red for fruits and flowers—allow me to grow a diverse range of plants all in one system. The **height-adjustable light post** is perfect for taller plants, and the automatic 16-hour on/8-hour off timer means I don’t have to worry about manually adjusting the lights.
Compact enough to fit on my kitchen counter or wherever, it’s ideal for year-round gardening, and I can keep fresh herbs and veggies handy at all times. This would make a fantastic gift for any family or friend who loves gardening or wants to start! If you’re looking for an easy, efficient way to grow plants indoors, this hydroponic system is a great choice!
I bought the Ahopegarden Indoor Hydroponics Growing System specifically to grow catnip, and it has exceeded my expectations. The system was very easy to set up, and the seeds germinated quickly. As you can see in the photo, the catnip grows full, lush, and healthy under the LED grow light.
The light provides excellent coverage, and the plants grow evenly without needing soil. I love that it’s clean, compact, and fits nicely on the counter. Water level is easy to monitor, and maintenance is minimal.
Best of all—my cats absolutely love it. The catnip is strong, fresh, and constantly growing, which keeps them entertained and happy. This has been a huge hit in my home.
Highly recommend this system for anyone looking to grow herbs, lettuce, or pet-friendly plants indoors. Great quality, great results, and very satisfying to use.
Easy setup
Fast germination
Healthy, full growth
Cat-approved
Would definitely buy again!
So far so good! We started growing various types of lettuce in ours & it’s doing really well. It took a couple days to figure out the timing for the light, but everything is going smoothly now. It also came with some pods & nutrients to get started.
Good entry level set up
This indoor hydroponics growing system is easy to set up, efficient, and perfect for growing fresh herbs and vegetables year-round. The automated lighting and watering make it low-maintenance, while the compact design fits well in any space. Plants grow quickly and consistently, delivering great results for beginners and experienced growers alike
This indoor garden is fairly easy to use and includes everything you need to get started except for seeds. My only complaint is the automatic timer on the grow light seems to stay on longer than the 16 hours on and 8 hours off. I tried to sync it to come on at 6am and turn off at 10pm which it did for several days but now it has changed the cycle. The plants do seem to grow very fast and I have harvested small amounts of greens a couple of times. The pump is pretty quiet when it runs. Overall it works to grow things indoors.
I got two of them, and a variety of seeds growing! Very happy with how they are growing and how easy the product was to assemble! They are made from food/water safe plastic material, both are black. The pumps are working great everyday along with the light timing system. I haven’t had a single issue and it’s been over a month now. My cherry tomato plant and cucumber plant are growing amazingly! I also have a ton of herbs growing! Love it! Already been harvesting from my herbs! Can’t wait to harvest more! Very easy to set up and plant, and perfect spacing. You must pay attention to your root system however as they can grow very long and try to attach to other roots and pods, but Ive been trimming the tail parts and they have been doing just fine. 100% recommend! I can’t wait to buy more! They definitely grow way more faster than my outdoor garden!
Update: after about 6 months the pump failed and blew the control board. Probably my fault for letting the sump get too “rooty”. I dissected the setup and found the LED assembly was still good so I rewired everything, connected to an esp32, and built a local web interface. Now I can fully control the timing of lights and pump. Also, you can grow actual vegetables on this but you need to supplement with higher wattage grow lights. I have a massive pepper plant going before the unit fried. When you start seeing flower buds get extra lights and manually pollinate for best results.
I’m just shy of one year in using this system and it’s been great. I wanted something that I could put in my home office to learn about hydroponics with. This system works well and has been great for me and the kids. I’ve done greens, peas, tomatoes, and peppers on it. Peppers are by far my favorite.
The only downside is I wish the light went higher BUT there is a way. They have enough cable coiled in here to extend another 10″ or so. I 3D printed some extensions to allow a larger pepper plant to continue growing.
I haven’t had much luck starting seeds in it so I start most of them in seed trays. Ones that do sprout in the hydroponic system get very laggy.. not sure why.
