Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBuilding My Own Media Workflow Infrastructure
I’m a post-production engineer and editor, working with filmmakers and creative teams on video production workflows.I’ve always been fascinated by the connection between creativity and technology. I love editing and storytelling, but I also enjoy solving the technical challenges behind the scenes — creating systems that make the creative process smoother and more reliable.

Over time, one thing became clear:

my projects were growing faster than my workflow could handle.

Footage, project files, assets, and deliverables were spread across multiple drives, and keeping everything organized became part of the job. The problem wasn’t storing files. The problem was having a workflow where everything was available when I needed it.

I experienced this most often during client revisions.A project that was completed months ago could suddenly come back for updates.

The editing itself was usually straightforward — the challenge was rebuilding the project environment:finding the right footage, locating the project files, and making sure everything matched the original workflow.I wanted my completed projects to remain active resources, not forgotten files sitting on old drives.

That’s where ZimaCube became part of my setup.I use it as the central workspace for my media library, keeping my projects organized and accessible.Instead of managing individual drives, I have a consistent environment where current projects and long-term archives can live together.

As my workflow expanded and more people became involved, collaboration became the next challenge.Rather than creating multiple copies of large media folders, the team can work from the same source.Editors can access the footage they need, while the project structure stays consistent. The workflow becomes simpler because everyone is working from the same foundation.

What I appreciate most about ZimaCube is the control it gives me.It’s not just storage. It’s a way to build a production environment that fits how I work — one that can grow from personal projects to collaborative productions.
