I’ve been pleasantly surprised by this little camera. For something that’s literally thumb-sized, it packs a lot of features into a very compact package.
The video quality is sharp, and recording in 4K gives plenty of detail for outdoor adventures, hikes, bike rides, or creating content for TikTok and YouTube. I especially like the built-in 1.47″ screen since you can quickly frame your shot or review footage without pulling out your phone.
Setup was straightforward. The included 64GB memory card is a nice bonus, and the WiFi app makes it easy to transfer videos and adjust settings remotely. The magnetic mount is surprisingly strong and opens up a lot of hands-free filming options. I’ve worn it while walking and recording POV footage, and it’s lightweight enough that you almost forget it’s there.
The 150 wide-angle lens captures a lot of the scene, making it great for action shots or documenting trips. I also appreciate being able to switch between horizontal and vertical recording depending on where I’m posting the video.
I was between this, and splurging for either a GoPro or DJI. I chose correctly!
The footage comes out extremely crisp. It’s very compact – I can carry it around with me everywhere WITH mounts! It fits in your pocket! That alone makes this worth more to me than the more expensive brands because I never know when I may have something worthy of recording. I included a photo of the camera next to a standard key for reference. It has USBC charging and it even came with a micro SD card. Very nice touch.
I included a photo of the mounts and below a description. That’s my favorite part of it – they have a million ways to connect. And they’re all included.
1 – Necklace magnet. You can wear under your shirt, and the device sticks right on
2 – Shirt / Jacket Pocket clip on. It works with any shirt.
3 – Magnetic base. You use this with the necklace or with any magnetic object.
4 – Hat brim clip. My favorite one.
5 – Tripod mount. I love pairing this with those little octopus tripods. Just the right weight.
6 – GoPro mount. Fits everything that a GoPro does. I can use this with my chest and helmet mounts now.
Overall – I’m very impressed! It’s cheap, so I don’t mind being rough with it and taking it with me to places I normally wouldn’t. Great for personal use or as a present – especially for those unsure about making a big purchase. Another note – it can record either portrait or landscape depending on a setting in the menu. Found that super nice not having to actually adjust the physical orientation.
I just got this mini body camera to record various activities, and I’m really impressed with what you get for the price! Out of the box, it feels surprisingly rugged, durable, lightweight, and the video quality seems solid. What stands out most is the incredible value, it comes with a 64GB MicroSD card and lots of mounting options (magnetic mount, clips, lanyard, etc) so you can start recording footage immediately. The one-button recording and navigation are super easy, the small built-in screen makes framing shots effortless. Connecting my phone to the camera via Wi-Fi was quick and hassle-free and the connection is solid and provides a much easier interface for modifying the settings. Overall, it’s a very practical, user-friendly little camera, and I’m excited to put it to use!
I bought the AC27 4K Thumb Camera mainly for travel and vlogging, and I’m really happy with it.
What surprised me the most is how tiny and lightweight it is. It easily fits in my pocket, so I can carry it everywhere without feeling bulky. The optical lens is excellent — it captures a really wide angle, which is perfect for landscapes, group shots, and action videos.
The WiFi connection to my phone is super smooth. Being able to see the live view on my phone screen while recording makes framing and shooting so much easier and more accurate. This feature alone makes it stand out from other small cameras I’ve tried.
Video quality is sharp in 4K, colors look natural, and it performs well even in decent lighting.
The only small suggestion I have is that it would be even better if it came with a waterproof case in the package. Since it’s so portable, having waterproof protection as a standard accessory would make it perfect for beach trips, hiking, or rainy days.
Overall, this is a fantastic little camera for the price. Highly recommend if you want something compact but powerful for everyday adventures!
I purchased the CAMWORLD AC27 to use as a lightweight POV camera for activities such as metal detecting and fishing. I wanted to see how it performs during extended real-world use.
The first thing that impressed me was the image quality. For such a small camera, the video is surprisingly sharp with good color and detail. I was genuinely pleased with the results.
When connected to a computer, the camera offers four operating modes: Normal Operation, Charging Only, USB Drive, PC Camera.
I especially like that “Normal Operation” allows the camera to continue operating while connected to USB power. This makes it possible to use an external power bank for much longer recording sessions. Using an external USB power bank, I was able to record for over five hours continuously. The camera proved capable of recording for extended periods without overheating.
My tests produced approximately:
Portrait, 1-minute clips: ~106 MB each
Landscape, 1-minute clips: ~190 MB each
Landscape, 5-minute clips: ~950 MB each
These numbers are useful for estimating storage requirements when planning longer recording sessions.
Some recorded files would play as audio only in QuickTime Player on macOS. At first I suspected: overheating, external USB power, long recording segments, or file corruption. After extensive testing, I ruled those out. The exact same files played perfectly in MKPlayer and DaVinci Resolve. This strongly suggests the files themselves are fine and that the issue is related to QuickTime’s compatibility with the MP4 files produced by the AC27.
Mounting options is probably my biggest disappointment. The magnetic necklace mount tends to swing while walking. It works, but the footage is less stable than I would like. The magnets also aren’t particularly strong. I wouldn’t completely trust this mount during active outdoor use because it seems possible for the camera to become detached or get bumped to the opposite orientation. One amusing detail is that the diagram printed on the magnetic mount appears to be backwards when using the camera in landscape orientation. It doesn’t affect functionality, but it does suggest the accessories were designed primarily with portrait recording in mind. The clip mount has the same issue. While convenient, I don’t think it grips strongly enough for vigorous activities. If you’re hiking, biking, or metal detecting, I’d recommend adding a safety tether. The included GoPro-style mounting frame is useful, but it has one design flaw. The mounting fingers are attached to the short side of the camera, which forces the camera into portrait orientation on standard GoPro mounts. If you want landscape video from a chest harness or other GoPro accessory, you’ll likely need an additional rotating adapter. Another small annoyance is that I had to file away a small amount of plastic from the mounting frames to make room for a USB-C cable while powering the camera externally.
One behavior I found frustrating involves the screen saver. While recording, the display eventually turns off to save power. To stop recording: Press once to wake the display. Press a second time to actually stop recording. When the camera is mounted on your chest or shoulder, this means you often have to remove it from the mount just to determine whether recording has stopped. I would much prefer a single button press to start and stop recording regardless of whether the display is asleep.
The AC27 includes a PC Camera mode, but on my Mac the video appeared scrambled and unusable. I wasn’t able to determine whether this is a macOS compatibility issue or a firmware problem.
After many hours of testing, my opinion is that the CAMWORLD AC27 is a surprisingly capable little camera with excellent image quality, especially considering its size and price. Its strengths are the compact design, very good video quality, and the ability to operate from external USB power for extended recording sessions.
Its weaknesses are mostly related to accessory design and software polish rather than image quality. The mounting system could be more secure, the GoPro adapter favors portrait orientation, QuickTime compatibility on macOS is inconsistent, and the user interface could be improved when the display is asleep.
Despite those shortcomings, I would still recommend the AC27 for someone looking for a small wearable POV camera.
Camera worked flawlessly. Nice compact design and comes with numerous attachment/mounting methods and even one that worked with a GoPro mount I already had. I found the neck lanyard magnetic mount very useful. Connects to the App and Mobile device through the wifi function very easily. Good picture and sound quality and long battery life. Came with a memory card. Extremely good value for the money. Took really cool sunset video as well, so works good in low light.
