Powerful and gets the job done quickly.
This earth auger is great. It makes digging holes so much easier and faster. We have used ours to dig about 20 holes now to plant flowering bushes and berry vines. We ordered a four inch auger bit to use with ours. This auger uses a regular 18V Makita battery and has plenty of power to dig any hole we need. The grips are comfortable to hold while using It too. It feels very well made and It is a great value.
Powerful Tool That Makes Post Holes Way Easie
This cordless post hole digger is genuinely useful if you have any kind of digging project. It has a lot of torque and gets through soil much faster than manual digging, which makes jobs like fence posts, planting, or garden work much less exhausting.
Since it uses a Makita 18V battery, it is convenient if you already use that system, but you do need to provide your own battery, which is important to know before buying.
It is not lightweight when in use, but it feels solid and powerful and definitely saves a lot of time and effort compared to digging by hand.
It is a very practical tool for anyone doing regular outdoor or landscaping projects and makes tasks that would normally take a lot of effort much more manageable.
I’m happy with the tool itself, but I was a bit disappointed that it didn’t come with the auger bit. The seller made it very clear the batteries weren’t included, which is fair, but the bit part wasn’t as obvious. It did say bare tool only, so technically that’s on me, but I took that as just no battery.
That aside, this thing is awesome to have if you already own Makita style 18V batteries. I picked up a bit locally and plan on using it to install 10 ft poles for a 12×12 shade sail over my patio. I’ll be digging down for gravel and cement pads so the poles actually have some strength in the grass. I also plan on using it for planting bushes and small trees, and I’ll probably grab another bit for ice fishing next winter.
Overall, it’s a great investment. This brand has been good to me so far, I own several of their tools and haven’t been disappointed. Just know before buying, you will need to buy the bit(s) separately.
