Easy install!
This baby gate was surprisingly easy to install and feels really sturdy once it is in place. As a mom, I also appreciate that I can open and close it easily with one hand when I’m carrying a baby or have my hands full. It fits securely in the doorway and doesn’t feel flimsy or wobbly. The neutral color is also nice because it blends into our home instead of sticking out like some baby gear does. Definitely makes containing a busy little one much easier!
Pros: Easy installation, sturdy, easy one-handed opening, looks nice
Cons: Getting the tension just right takes a little adjusting at first.

This gate has been a great option for areas where we wanted something secure without drilling holes into the walls. The pressure-mount installation was straightforward, and once properly tightened it feels sturdy and stays in place well. I also like the wider adjustment range since it gives you more flexibility for doorways and openings that aren’t a standard size.
The auto-close feature is probably my favorite part for everyday use. It’s easy to walk through without having to remember to close the gate behind you, and the one-handed operation is really convenient when carrying a baby, groceries, or other things around the house. Easier set up and excellent gate!
Cideny is one of three gates now in our home becaue we have a toddler grandson, so this one is the best choice we’ve now owned.
EAST set-up, just do NOT cut that binding around the gate because it needs to stay as closed as possible! Simple line-up and attaching; small included tool tightens the ends. Use the enclosed parts to protect your walls or wherever this will go, snd tighten the gate in. Easily expandable to the space! Once in and tight, you can always remove and replace with ease, but when it’s tightly in place, nobody can loosen it up.
We like the gate and that it clicks back in place so well.
Having a dog, this also keeps part of the house away from pets and toddlers. IT WORKS!!!

Overall, a really easy to install baby gate. Totally apartment friendly with the sticky pad installation option. I also love the step board option to add to the base of the gate to help prevent tripping and make it easier for my baby to get through. It’s super easy to extend the gate to the width you need. Plus, it self closes behind you if you’d like. So helpful when you’re racing a baby through the gate.
The one thing I would mention is, think about your baseboards. I didn’t think about it until I was installing. When I read the product description, it might have been helpful to mention that you need a flat surface for the base to get proper surface tension. How I set it up still seems sturdy. If the gate falls, it will be because I installed on not a flat surface.
Helpful tips: don’t get scissor crazy when you open the box. I was cutting all the zip ties and you really have to keep the one holding the door closed on until after install. It’s clearly stated on the gate and instructions. Also, I put the step board under the gate during step two. I wanted to make sure it would fit. The directions don’t mention the step board until step 7.
If my son doesn’t rip the gate from the wall, I’ll likely get more.
Easy Open!
As a new Aunt, we needed a safety gate for our wild/busy new niece.
But as a person who hasn’t had little ones around the house for a couple of decades, I was worried a gate would be more of a hassle than anything.
This gate is easy to remove when she is not around, and it installs quickly without marking up the walls and paint.
Super easy to open one-handed.
It’s also strong and sturdy. It will last for many a kid, or even a larger-sized doggie.
A bit on the expensive side, but I think the price will be justified over time.
Nothing like the gates we used 30-plus years ago!

Overall, this is a really easy baby gate to install and I especially like that it can be installed without drilling. The auto close feature is also very helpful when you are carrying a baby or trying to get through quickly without having to remember to close the gate behind you.
I also really like the step board that can be added to the bottom. It helps make the transition over the base easier and reduces the chance of tripping, especially when carrying a baby. The gate itself is easy to open with one hand and closes smoothly.
One thing I would mention is to pay attention to your baseboards before installing. You need a relatively flat surface for the pressure mount to sit properly. My installation still feels very sturdy, but because of my baseboards, I had to be a little more careful with how I positioned it.
One small tip during installation: do not cut all the zip ties right away. The one holding the gate closed needs to stay on until the installation is finished. The instructions do mention this, but it is easy to get carried away cutting everything when opening the box.
Overall, this is a well designed and practical baby gate. The installation is easy, it feels secure, and I like that it does not require permanent holes in the wall. I would definitely consider getting another one if I need more gates around the house.
