I have a Louisiana LG900 about 5-7 years old. I had a problem with smoke through the hopper; I think the auger motor was going out. This replacement auger motor is much quieter; my Louisiana grill is up and running again! Great price & much better to buy this than a new smoker!

My auger motor went out on my Louisiana 800 Elite. I had to check here to see if there were some good budget-friendly options and I found this one. With basic knowledge of tools, almost anyone can replace this auger motor with no issues.
Follow the 6 steps after replacement for fewer jamming issue and longer motor life.
Our Louisiana Grill has had many problems with the auger jamming. This new replacement motor is designed specifically to remedy many of the old problems.
Designed to be a “plug and play”, this is intended to be reinstalled in reverse after you uninstall your old one.
It should take 15-20 minutes for someone with a basic knowledge of tools, and requires standard socket wrenches which most people have.
Some suggestions to help you prevent clogging moving forward with this new replacement are:
1. Use quality pellets
2. Clean the auger regularly by removing pellet dust and debris buildup
3. Check the hopper-inspect for debris and moisture
4. Prime the auger motor before use for a few seconds before lighting to make sure pellets are moving properly.
5. Store pellets properly to prevent moisture which causes swelling and jamming
6. Inspect the auger shaft for wear that can cause binding

I have a Louisiana CS680, and due to one of the pellets jamming the auger, the old motor broke. This replacement auger motor went right in; it was pretty much plug-and-play, same as the old one, but better: it primes faster, and it sounds a whole lot smoother than the old one.
Perfect replacement auger motor.
Dimensionally, it is very close to the original auger motor. I’ve used my LG700 several times since the replacement auger motor for high-temperature grilling and twice for long, slow smoking and had no problems with it.
