Wonderful bug control
Even when there doesn’t appear to be a flying insect in the house, the zapper makes a zapping sound, as it quietly keeps the house free of midges, mosquitoes and flys.
It zaps small bugs like mosquitoes and leafhoppers, that are attracted to the light and collects the dead ones in the bottom. In Connecticut it collects a large number of European Chafer beetles. For these larger bugs it doesn’t kill them, so you end up with mass of wriggling beetles in the bottom ( it fills up in one night, so maybe I’ll have fewer grubs in the lawn, but it has to be cleaned everyday). The only complaint I have is that a lot of bodies end up stuck in the upper parts and it’s a bit hard to get them out.
Package came, opened shipping box, my cat immediately jumped into the shipping box. So while he was distracted, I took zapper outside and plugged it in. I sat it on a small table near the back the house, maybe 6ft away. It wasn’t even dark yet, but I decided to plug it in and leave it in all night as a test. I stayed outside for maybe ten minutes and I could hear the first bug sizzle. I laughed. Shortly after, a second. I did leave it on all night. Came out in the morning to water my cukes and tomatoes and it was zappin’ away already. I looked at the grille and it had all kinds of crispy critters on it. I’m going to have to clean it already lol! This guy works great, now to see for how long. So far, it’s well work it.
Works like a charm! Kills on contact but the only problem is that my pit bull is deathly afraid of it. Hung it by the back door and she refused to go outside so I had to unplug it for her to even go back out. I had it plugged to an outlet that was hooked up to a switch and even then she could sense it until I unplugged it. I’ll have to move it to the front of the house now.
Great Product - Great Value
After two weeks of use, I took my 3 year old grandson to feed the fish in the pond. No mosquito- no mosquito bites. I love this zapper. Makes the woods in Houston, Texas enjoyable!
