I really like these shelf liners. They’re made from a very durable material, and they’re actually much more durable than the thin plastic liner you would normally lay on top of these racks. They offer a lot more rigidity, which makes it easy to slip products in and out or slide them on these particular shelves. In fact, they make the wire rack look much better, more durable, and much easier to use. Isha, the shelf is made out of white PVC, so yes, they are definitely going to be prone to scratches. However, you can put a lining on top of that or a nonslip liner that will help prevent that from happening. What I love also about these particular wire shelf covers is that they have a front lip that helps add to the rigidity and gives a really modernized look to a metal rack shelf. I would definitely look at the picture on their website and measure the rack that you have very carefully, because you have to measure it in a certain way for this to work. If anything at all, if your rack is somewhat in between sizes, you should definitely go for a smaller size rather than a large one if you’re looking for the shelf. Otherwise, the way these shelf covers stay on the rack is pretty much a slide-on fit. There’s nothing really locking them into place, but nonetheless, this is really not an issue if you’re looking for a really great shelf cover. I think these are definitely better than many of the other alternatives out there. They’re a great value, and I would highly recommend them.
Smart Investme
Wow, this is such a smart ideal, I was wondering when someone would come up with this one. I can’t tell you how many times I tried to put things on wire shelves to find out that the item couldn’t stand on it. First, they turn that boring wire shelf into shelves that are highly attractive. Second, no more wondering where to put that item that won’t stand on the wire shelves. Third, I see these as being beneficial two ways for wire shelves. I can’t tell you how many times I pushed something off the shelf in the back. I can simply turn these around and I have a little wall to prevent stuff from falling off the shelf in the back. These are neat!
It even looks and feels much cleaner and neater. The wall is 2 inches so you will have to take that into consideration when ordering the right size for your shelves. The shelves come flat and you must bend out the wall area of the shelf. It is coated on only one side of the board. It is lightweight and sturdy and what I love about them is that they can easily be removed and placed anywhere. I didn’t find that these are waterproof or stain resistant. So, if you are using them in the kitchen that’s something to be considered. If you think of drywall and the coated sheet that covers the drywall, the texture and the coating of these shelves remind me of drywall panels. So, I am pretty sure they will stain and might not handle large pools of water, but for small water droplets they should do fine. The shelves come smoothly polished including the edges. I give them 4 stars because I don’t see anywhere in the ad that they are stain resistant or waterproof.
How did I not know about these sooner?? The rental I am in has a decent size pantry, but crap wire shelving with no support brakets. I am shocked frankly that they have not fallen comsidering how bowed they get with provision for a household of 5. And I am allergic to clutter, bu no matter how I try to organize, every time I open the pantry door I cringe. These little bad boys are the bomb! I am organized and can see everything! And they’re sturdy, fit cleanly over the wire shelving, no bowing – I am impressed! Pick your size and purchase them. I wish I had taken “before” photos but I shared the “after”. I can’t say enough good things.
