I have to write the review separately, but the handle and the lock (keyless entry) were one order. I researched for weeks before picking a lock (see what I did there) for my new replacement door. I wanted a keyless entry as an option, but since this is not for internal door, I needed a nice handle, etc. for the other hole in the new door and I wanted them to match. The design and look is gorgeous and inspired me to paint my front door before installation, and now I’ve even received compliments from neighbors on how great the front door looks. The handle was pretty easy/straightforward to install, and smooth as silk/quiet. It gives a real rich look to the door and I’m a fan for life.
Nice looking, well made handle set for our front door.
We bought this to replace an old failing handle set on our front door. Decided on the Camelot to go with out Schlage electronic deadbolt and the fact that we could get a matching dummy/fake deadbolt and handle set for our double front door. It instantly upgraded the look of our front door. It was easy to install. Seems very durable and looks great. We’ve gotten lots of compliments. Love Schlage quality. Would definitely recommend or buy again if needed.
I purchased this entry handle for use with the Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt. Previously my front door had a locking entry handle plus a deadbolt, using the same key for both. But with the smart deadbolt you no longer need (or want) a locking entry handle. This handle matches the BE479 CAM 619 beautifully. It was a breeze to install where my old Kwikset entry handle was previously. I drilled a single 3/8″ hole to secure the bottom of the handle, since previously I only had a knob. This handle is much nicer to use than the old knob, and it really looks great. Plus it has a very sturdy feel and I expect it will last a very long time.
Good product but could use improvements.
Not a compensated comment. Verified purchase. Looks very good, overall the material is of high quality and it will do the job of providing security to your door. Overall it is well designed but with some improvements it could be great. The inner mechanism has plastic, if you have to activate this mechanism it won’t be long before it will have issues, due to premature wear and tear, and all metal mechanism would provide a longer life and keep this product as good as new. Price could be lower, quality could be improved. I would recommend this product at this time, just make sure that everything is aligned properly and that operation is smooth and without obstructions.
It replaced some nearly 100 year old hardware. The prep work for this specific job was difficult due to the nature of the door and old hardware design difference. However, installation in a modern/standard knob and deadbolt application is very easy and straight forward. It gives a modern appearance with a vintage appeal. Very sturdy and secure especially when compared to what it replaced.
I gave this 5 stars because it’s what I was looking for; looks nice, easy to install, works as expected. The only downside of going from a front door knob that locks at the handle level to this one that doesn’t is the latch appears smaller and doesn’t have that little security “nub” which created a little gap between my weather stripping and the door. Also, the dead bolt doesn’t quite line up correctly as a result. I was able to rectify the issue with a new adjustable strike plate, but thought I would point that out if it helps anyone.
