Solid construction and finish. This was easy to install and the included instructions while dense with information, were clear enough to get this installed.
We ended up only using the handle portion in combination with a Schlage Encode lock in their black finish and the colors work well together.
I bought this to replace an existing same format lockset. I Measured carefully. The holes all lined up, but the rectangles at the top and bottom of the new set didn’t line up with the old…leaving patching and painting to be done. Love the color and the look. Locksmith installed it and fiddled with it as best he could. I don’t what else I could have done to have avoided this. So be prepared to possible paint or retu
Good lock
Works great. My wife is bed bound and this allows her to unlock the door for friends to come in and visit. Works well with code also. Plus, I get a notification on my phone whenever the lock status changes, and if I need to I can let EMS in if she needs help.
Perfect Hardware for my new Front Entryway
I just replaced my front entryway doors with white fiberglass 3/4 glass doors and wanted black matte hardware that was well made and simple yet classic. I had Baldwin for a few years but found the finish and hardware didn’t hold up. I researched the highly recommended top ten brands and was pleasantly surprised that Baldwin seemed to have improved recently yet i couldn’t find the look and finish I wanted. I settled on the Schlage and couldn’t be happier. Well made, classic yet simple which works for a look that isn’t exactly traditional and modern enough, with the exact matte black finish I wanted. I was concerned a matte black finish may show fingerprints yet surprisingly it doesn’t. It cleans well with a soft clothe – don’t use cleaning agents to ensure the finish lasts. Highly recommend.
Looks and feels great. Some of the screws were a little short. So far, after a month or so and a few rain storms, the finish has held up and still looks nice and works well.
