I ordered this for our above-ground pool because I spend a lot of time in it during the summer. Unfortunately, we’ve been away so much this year that my husband won’t let me put the pool up, so I haven’t been able to use it as intended yet.
What I can say is that I’m really impressed with the quality. It’s heavier than I expected and feels very sturdy. The frame and components are made from black powder-coated metal, and everything feels solid and well made. It comes with all of the hardware and tools needed for assembly, and it arrived very well packaged, with everything individually wrapped to prevent damage.
One thing that confused me at first was that the photos make the tabletop look slightly rounded on top. I was worried drinks would slide off, but it’s actually flat. I think it’s just the way the product is photographed.
I especially like the extra features. The towel hooks are a great idea, and I can already see the basket being useful for keeping things like my phone, sunscreen, or other bits and pieces close by while I’m in the pool.
All in all, although I haven’t been able to install it yet, I’m really happy with the quality and design. I can’t wait to get it set up next summer, and I think it’s going to be a really useful addition to the pool.
This pool table that attaches to the railing is nice to have. There is a LOT of assembly required. It took me over an hour to build. Mostly because the directions leave a lot to be desired. The directions for each step reference part numbers like A1 but NONE of the parts were actually labeled. It took a lot of matching up with the parts list. They also did not indicate direction of each piece so that took some logic and deductive reasoning. This really should have taken 20 minutes. The table is not hard to build but it was time consuming. The quality is good and I was not missing any parts. In fact, there were a few extra screws included.
I do not have an above ground pool so I attached this to the fence around my in-ground pool. I have the exact same fence that was pictured in the description for other uses. I thought the height was adjustable but it is not. You can attach it to pretty much any kind of fence or railing just know that the table will be the height of the railing it’s attached to. My fence is 5 feet or so high so the table is tall and can be used more as a shelf than a table. The two hooks slide over the top of the fence/railing and there are two support pieces that brace up against the balusters in the fence. The support pieces slide so you can set them exactly where they need to be for optimal support. I thought there were 2 legs for support but when I looked back at the listing picture I realized I was seeing the legs on the pool. They just blended in a deceiving way. The table is narrow so it won’t substitute as a bar. It’s really a side table. It does fold down which is really nice especially for me since mine is pretty high. I can drop it down so no one walks into it. On one end of the table are hooks that are screwed in and on the other is a basket that hooks in and is removable. The basket is not the most thought out piece of this design. You must remove it when you fold the table down. It’s hooks aren’t wide enough to hang it on my fence so it hangs off the front of the table.
The directions say that the table has a waterproof coating so it won’t rust. I do feel a coating but I guess time will tell. Overall I will use it. It’s now the shelf by where we get into the pool so we can set eye glasses and towels on it. It’s easy to wipe clean so I do think it will come in handy.
I ordered this hanging table not for a pool, but for our deck grilling area once the project is finished. I wanted additional workspace for trays, condiments, and food prep without taking up valuable floor space, and this seemed like a practical solution.
Assembly was straightforward. While the individual parts are not labeled, the instructions are well illustrated and easy to follow. One feature I especially appreciated is that the mounting brackets can be adjusted to fit different railing widths, allowing us to get a secure fit on our deck railing.
One thing we discovered during installation is that the assembled table measures approximately 4 feet 1 inch wide. Our deck posts are spaced 5 feet apart, so we will need to add an additional post near the grill area for mounting. Since our deck is currently being rebuilt, that is not a problem for us and can easily be incorporated into the project. It is worth measuring your railing span before ordering to ensure you have a suitable mounting location.
Once assembled, I was impressed by how sturdy the unit feels. The heavy metal construction gives it a solid, durable feel, and the adjustable mounting system tightens securely in place without wobbling. The table also has an impressive weight capacity, making it suitable for serving trays, drinks, condiments, grilling tools, and food prep items.
The folding design is one of my favorite features. When not in use, the tabletop folds neatly against the railing, keeping it out of the way while remaining readily available whenever extra workspace is needed.
The tabletop itself is generously sized and provides plenty of room for meats, serving trays, condiments, and grilling accessories. I also like the removable hanging basket and hooks, which keep seasonings, grilling tools, towels, and other essentials organized and within easy reach while leaving more room on the work surface for food preparation.
Although designed for above-ground pools, it adapts surprisingly well to a deck railing and provides a substantial amount of additional workspace. The sturdy construction, adjustable mounting system, fold-away design, generous work surface, and convenient storage features make it a practical and versatile addition to our outdoor cooking area.
