Quick background — we moved into a house with a pool last fall and
didnt think much of it until our 2 yr old started walking. Now she
gravitates toward the pool every chance she gets. Got this based
on a recommendation from another mom in our neighborhood and so
glad we did.
Install took less than 10 mins, no apps, no accounts, just a
battery and youre good. The floating sensor sits on the surface
and the receiver lives on the kitchen counter where we spend most
of our time. Tested it a few times by splashing — goes off
immediately. The sound is LOUD which is exactly what u want.
Only “”complaint”” is the receiver could be a little more compact for
counter space but its honestly fine where it is.
Is it a substitute for watching her? Of course not. But its a
fantastic extra layer when you turn around for a second. Worth
every dollar.
Bought this as a gift for my daughter and son in law — they just
put in a pool and have a 5 yr old plus a baby on the way. They
were thrilled.
SIL set it up in like 15 mins and tested it that same afternoon
with my granddaughter (totally safe, just had her splash from the
side of the pool). Alarm went off instantly and the receiver they
have inside is plenty loud to hear from any room.
Wish it came in a nicer gift box for presenting it but thats really
me being picky — wrapped it ourselves and it was fine.
If u have grandkids and ur kids have a pool, this is one of those
gifts that actually gets used every single day. Five stars without
a doubt.
Bought this as a safety thing for our pool and beyond happy with
it. Loud alarm, decent range on the receiver, setup was fast (no
app to mess with which honestly was a selling point for me).
The included 9V battery seems generic so Ill probably swap to a
Duracell when it dies just for longer life — but it works fine for
now.
Otherwise its rock solid. If u have kids, pets, or just want some
extra peace of mind around ur pool, dont overthink it, just get
this one.
Three words. Loud. Easy. Works. What more do u want from a pool
alarm. Setup in minutes, receiver works from across the house,
battery still kicking after a few weeks. The instruction sheet
could be a touch clearer but it doesnt matter bc its self
explanatory. Just buy it.
