These hoses are no joke!
I replaced my RV water hose with a 25′, it eliminated the tangle. When we’re done camping it drains and fits easily in a small container.
Then started replacing the hoses around the house. Another 25′ and two 50′ hoses .
I’m confident if you try one you will be hooked.
In all fairness though, the sprayer is good but they could improve on that and on/off is opposite normal.
This hose is amazing! I didn’t think there was a huge difference in these expansion hoses but the thickness and quality is fantastic. I thought it was expensive but I got it for the rotating connector. This is a game changer. It keeps the hose from kinking at the spigot. I wasn’t sure I would like the thumb adjuster rather than a standard squeeze but this is so much better too. It’s all lightweight but very sturdy. We water a lot and have 3 different hosing areas. I’m thinking about replacing the other two. A+++++
My son is very happy about this house especially the spigot connector that swivels, very good if you move around the yard and house if you get the 50 ft hose, we had one before like 10 years ago, and was left out in the elements and it dry rotted out, but this one is kept inside. We love it, way better than the old hoses of rubber, plastic crap, easy to move around light weight for elderly hands too, can’t say enough, it’s just so amazing, no kinks or knots, we bought the 50 ft and it is just right for our humble aboard.
I’ve owned 4 or 5 Pocket Hoses over the years and, while I generally give them high marks, it depends upon the specific use or application!
First, if you have a lot of stone work, as we do, the mere act of dragging the hose across the stones or rocks will cause the hose to “catch.” This, in turn, will cause it to fray. Even the latest “ballistic” picket hose will fray quit easily. However, it still will last for several years since the fraying takes a long time to make the hose unusable.
Second, we only use the pocket hoses to hand water potted plants, and some plants in flower beds, as the hose does not work well with automated sprinklers (at least the articulating kind).
Finally, the fact that the pocket hoses are so darn lightweight makes them a dream to hand watering!
Hope this helps and, if you are going to be dragging the pocket hose(s) only over grass or other smooth surfaces, watering potted plants or plants in flower beds only, then as far as I’m concerned, it’s a no-brainer!!
I had not owned this type of hose before. It seems very well made the spray nozzle is very functional with multiple spray patterns and no leaks. Much better than any other spray nozzle I have owned over the years. The pivot fitting is also very useful and well made. The instruction to store the hose inside and reduce exposure to UV light is a bit concerning but the sprayer and pivot fitting are reason enough to purchase this. We will see how the hose ages outside with time. (it will be taken in during the winter.)
Best hose ever. I would rate it a “10” if possible. Used this hose to wash my cars & I can only say that I wish I had one like this many years and washes ago. It is light & flexible . No heavy rubber or kinks/refusals to bend. And when the water is open the many different functions (spray/stream/powerflow) enable you to water plants, wash cars & do a variety of jobs. The hose also comes with a swivel connector to the spigot which enables the hose to follow you through your tasks. A terrific innovation/invention which makes many jobs easier!
