The image quality of this projector is clearer than that of the other one I bought before, and it also has higher brightness. Considering the price, it is a good value for money.
Gets the job done
This projector does exactly what i needed it to do. It projects quality picture on a 20ft screen so anything smaller would be exceptionally clear. If you’re using this projector outside you will need an additional sound source as the speaker is not loud enough outside to hear more than 8-10 feet away. For the price i am not at all upset. This will be great for backyard movie nights and fight nights.
Projector works well and it’s easy to setup. No complaints on this <$100 standard projector. If you're like me and thought that this included a screen, then you'll be slightly disappointed. This is a projector and is / does not come with a screen. Other than that this works just fine.
Right off the bat, the design looks great and probably the first thing I noticed (which is lacking from many projectors) was the lens cap, which is a must for keeping dust and other things away from the lens when not in use. Other physical aspects that caught my attention were the lack of a focus control (it’s handled via the remote), multiple USB ports, headphone jack, and the additional cables for A/V hookups. On the underneath of the projector is a small foot wheel that adjusts like a screw to raise and lower it.
When I hit the power button, I was at a dashboard almost immediately. The picture seemed clearish even before turning off the light and was crisp and colorful when the light was off. The fans were not noticeably loud, nor was it very hot, surprisingly.
The remote includes F+ and F- buttons for focus and it just feels better than a manual focus for some reason, although if the mechanism ever fails, the lack of a manual focus option may leave you stuck.
This projector includes all the standard things like image flipping, keystone correction (manual), USB and other inputs, but it also includes really easy support for mirroring your Windows or Mac computer or IOS or Android phone. Everything is very responsive and other than hiding the image sizing option under settings instead of with the keystone adjustments, everything was really easy to understand and use. I looked at the full manual, but mostly only to try and figure out what “Companion Mode” is. That feature seems to throw up just a wallpaper with nothing else and any button returns you to the dashboard, so I’m at a complete loss there.
The onboard auto sounds fine if you’re not interested in external audio output and would be good enough for watching a movie.
Overall, this is a great projector with a lot of good features and the software is snappy and responsive.
Currently set up is at 10~ foot away, 70% adjusted projection size (I estimate screen size to be 100 inches would have been near 140 at 100%), and projecting on a cotton projection screen in a 99% dark room.
I only have three experiences with projectors that I can reference high-end movie projectors at the theater, a cheap $40~ one, and this one.
Compared to the cheap $40 projector this one wins in every way the text and image is much clearer, the light is much brighter I can view this in a dimly lit room.
*Image quality is significantly improved in a blacked out room.
You can customize the projection quite a bit the ability to increase or decrease the screen size from 70% to 100%, electronic focus button on the remote, has the basic sharpness contrast and brightness controls, and I didn’t have the need to use it but there’s also a way to tilt and angle the projection so if you plan to use this on a not so flat surface that’s pretty nice and seems to have a wide amount of range.
I also a fan of being able to set HDMI feed as default on boot up I don’t have to turn it on and swap to HDMI every time.
Compared to the movie theaters this seems to lack on darker videos and the frames per second and screen transitions (not sure if that’s the right wording?) just isn’t as smooth. I mentioned the text is readable but I had to set everything at 200% and there’s still a slight blur to the text.
I’d recommend this for casual movies and basic web browsing (if you increase text/icon size to 200%+) but something like video games will have a noticeable input delay and frames per second is limited.
This projector with 4K which is stunning picture quality with more detail, and its bright enough for a family weekend outdoor use, with built-in WiFi you can easy streaming from various apps or devices without the need for additional cables or you can connect via Bluetooth from your phone, you can find most of the useful apps on this projector such like YouTube, Netflix and others, so you can separate steaming devices, the built-in speaker is loud enough for a family movie night. Overall, this projector is a great size and functional for a family use daily.
