A good looking air fryer?! Its finally here.
I spent a whole month using this air fryer to work through its various settings – first and foremost, there are many! Take a few minutes with the included manual, you’ll need it.
Pros:
The dual chamber design is brilliant, especially the ability to “time” food to be done at the same time. This is a huge game changer if you have a protein or main in one and a side in the other. Prep both, assign different temps and times, and it winds up done at the same time. Brilliant!
– Easy cleaning! Everything is dishwasher safe.
– Excellent air fryer performance! I was concerned the air fryer mechanism may not be as good as a fully enclosed device and I was wrong. This thing properly crisps with little cleanup.
– The dehydrator is a nice touch! We found it took a bit longer than expected to work well, but a fun addition all the same.
– It’s attractive! Most air fryers are ugly. This is a treat on the counter.
Cons:
– While it is easy to clean, I do wish the bottom rail attachment piece on the glass containers was removable. It’s silly this is permanently attached and bulky to clean.
– Two chambers is great, but you do sacrifice space. If you’re cooking for a family, I’d look at a unit with one larger chamber.
– Ninja documentation is a little weak. For a complex unit, I found myself re-reading the various manuals a number of times.
It’s a terrific air fryer with some quirks that make it shy of a full 5 star product, but an excellent entry in Ninja’s catalog of kitchen appliances that I expect to last awhile! I hope they sell replacement parts for some time to come, though, because I do have general concerns about the longevity of the nonstick platters that go inside. They are a bit flimsy. I may replace them yearly as I would any other nonstick product so I hope Ninja continues to carry accessories for this unit!
