This set is awesome it comes with all types of foreign plugs and is easy to use. I got to use it once and it works as intended. Theirs also no slow down for charging speeds on your phone or anything.
The “Mapambo 220V to 110V Voltage Converter” is a nice and portable voltage convertor. It accepts input voltage from 100V-240V and outputs 120V. It is designed for appliances that require 120V to run. Due to its wide range of input voltage capability, it can be used in the US as well as overseas.
Two USB-A and two USB-C ports are a nice addition to this travel converter. The USB ports are powered on once plugged in regardless whether the power is turned on or not.
The web page says it cannot be used in South Africa which is a bit puzzling. Since the voltage in South Africa is 230V, it is well within the input voltage range of this converter.
It comes with a type C two pin plug which is widely used in Europe, Asia, Africa and Middle East. To achieve this wide range of compatibility, it has to skip the ground pin. Otherwise, additional grounded plug types such as type D, E, F and M, would be needed to achieve that.
Due to the lack of grounding, the convertor should not be equipped with two 3-pin US type B grounded and polarized outlets. It can give people a false impression that it is fully grounded. But in reality, it is not grounded. With its two pin plug, the polarity is not guaranteed either.
I was delighted with this; it’s very useful, honestly, and super practical for when you’re traveling. It comes with several adapters so you can connect it to any type of electrical outlet. It’s made of very good material; I had tried others before, but they were nothing compared to this one.
Great voltage converter for travel!
This Mapambo 220V to 110V voltage converter works perfectly for my U.S. devices while traveling. It handles higher-power appliances safely and also has ports for smaller electronics. Easy to use, compact, and reliable. A must-have for international trips!
Great price and functionality. Used in Italy for three weeks and it worked great for us the times we actually needed a converter, which wasn’t that often. It is compact in size and lightweight so it was easy to travel with. I would recommend it.
