I’m a bird and flower fanatic and the print on these panels is absolutely amazing! The birds and flowers are so well done and full of accurate details. The texture of the material is like linen but they wash up nicely and don’t have wrinkles. The material is sturdy and the stitching is neat. No changes to the material after machine washing, they help up nicely to machine washing. Easy to hang, I used the fabric loops but there is the option to insert the rod into the fabric tube instead. I wanted the pleated look and it was nice not to have to purchase hooks for the pleats. I purchased blackout panels separately because this window gets blasted with sun for several hours. These panels alone do not significantly block out the light enough for me so I added an additional panel to keep this room cooler and artwork better protected from the strong sunlight. The print is in shades of gray and the background is light taupe or cream that’s sort of a darker shade. By far these are my favorite curtains I’ve ever purchased!
I noticed there was some debate on the color of the background of these curtains…In morning light, my Bonobo curtains are a clear ecru-white and blue. As the day goes on and the light changes, they become deeper in tone, closer to ivory and indigo. When the sun goes down, they turn “tea-stained” and it is not until the lights are very low in the house do they begin to take on a warmer, pinkish tone. I LOVE these curtains, they are GORGEOUS. I bought four panels for a 6 foot wide window in a breakfast nook with a high, angled ceiling and they are the focal point of the space. They are hung 96 inches from the floor and are pulled back sometimes with macrame tiebacks. They look fantastic. Definitely an investment, but don’t skimp on yourself, this is something you are gonna look at every day!! These panels give a high-end look and are 100% worth every penny. The fabric has a fine, substantial hand and falls beautifully, the craftsmanship is excellent; the back-tab pocket stays crisp on the rod—AND— the patterns line up from panel to panel, which is a good indicator of attention to detail and quality. While they are not lined, the fabric is heavy enough that the print doesn’t show through, so the back side reads as white. I was so pleased with my Bonobo curtains, I bought another set in the almond “Paradise” pattern for my bedroom—- and they look fabulous too!
These curtains are gorgeous! They are also made of a nice fabric. Not too thin. You can tell they are quality. The colors are vibrant. I just absolutely love them.
Wow! I love these curtains. The colors are exactly as pictured here. They softly filter the light in the late afternoon. I do this wish they were lined so they would be a little more room darkening. I ordered six panels and the length is consistent. I did not have to iron them. I hung them this morning and most of the wrinkles have fallen out. I have will steam them later if needed. These are gorgeous in the living room but would be nice in dining rooms or bedrooms as well.
Update Jun30- These curtains remain one of my favorite Amazon purchases ever. I didn’t even have to steam them. They’re just lovely. I wish I could give them an additional five stars.
I spent HOURS looking for affordable, “Chinoiserie” style curtains that would not break the bank. I needed 6 panels for my dining room so affordable was a must. I got these panels sometimes as low as $22 which is a steal! 100% cotton and made in India. They are not lined but that was not a problem for me as I would not be closing my curtains. I added pleat tape and hemmed them on my sewing machine and they turned out beautiful. Great quality. The customer service for Maison d’ Hermine is also very helpful. This particular colorway went out of stock so I reached out to them to find out when they would restock. They responded quickly and it came back much sooner than expected!
I LOVE these curtains! Fast easy to hang. The whimsical bordered pattern and colors are true to the picture. Light filtering cotton material and beautiful craftsmanship guarantees the product’s longevity. The width and length fit our old home’s large windows and the rod pockets are sturdy allowing the curtains to hang in beautiful pleated folds. Incredible price for such well made curtains.
