I’m giving this a 5-star rating even though the first one of these marble cutting/pastry boards I ordered I was disappointed to see a large chip off the polished surface on one corner, even though it is packaged pretty well. I am guessing it was damaged during shipment somehow.
I did a return and asked for a replacement board. The replacement arrived today and I was very happy to see it had no damage at all! If the 2nd one had been damaged, I would be providing a much different rating – but my faith was rewarded.
This is a very heavy marble cutting/pastry board with a very nicely polished surface on one side and is very beautiful. Looking forward to using it for kneading pizza dough and shaping pizzas on them. They provide some self-stick rubber feet that you attach to the non-polished side to prevent sliding when working on the board. Definitely recommended.
Heavy
Very heavy, so if you are an elderly person you might need help lifting it. I’m 70 and I thought I was going to need help but I got it myself. Love it!
