Truly sized appropriately for a lunch, and yes, it actually fits a whole sandwich. This has been the biggest pain point of the bento boxes we have purchased in the past, and we often wondered where they found the mini loaves of bread to make the sandwiches from in the listing photos, because we would be lucky to get half a sandwich in them. To have a section that truly fits a sandwich from a normal loaf of bread, this bento is already ahead of the rest. This also means that it works for the adults taking lunches as well. The second section having a removable partition also allows better fit of things, as I can also use it as just one section and not have to cut up super mini carrot and celery sticks. The kids love their condiments, so coming with a sauce cup is excellent. It also comes with a complete additional set of the silicone gaskets, fun for swapping up colors, but also nice to be able to replace if they do get damaged and stop working as well as they should. So, this is a fairly large bento, but it is still a perfect fit in the kids’ standard 9.75″x7″x3.25″ soft lunch boxes. There isn’t really any additional room in the lunch box beyond for things like a juice box or some ice packs, but we do find the flat ice packs to work underneath. This works for us because they typically just take water bottles to school, but it is a consideration if a juice box is part of your lunch routine, although there is enough space in this bento itself if you forego sides and snacks. This is the first bento box we have tried that is made of stainless steel, and I am very impressed. It seals nice and tight, has been consistently leak free and easy for the kids to open. The stainless steel is a great gauge, thin enough so it isn’t super heavy, but thick enough to be resistant to getting dented. We dropped one taking it out of the dishwasher, and it faired fine. I have some experience with Tritan and have had a lot of luck with it. It’s BPA-free, but even still a polymer, so the fact that the actual food contact surface is stainless I really like over the all plastic ones also. Tritan is crystal clear and hard like a polycarbonate; it is very durable, isn’t prone to breaking and cracking like many of the clear hard plastics can be. It also generally fairs well in the dishwasher, but I have had some dishwasher tabs that cloud it and damage it permanently. This is usually your “ultimate” pods and mostly the stainless safe ones, which I find can damage and dry out almost all plastics and rubbers. So between that and the fact that the lid isn’t removable, which makes loading onto the middle or top shelf harder anyways, I typically just hand wash this Bento, though I have ran it through the dishwasher a couple of cycles now. Considering this Bento is in the same price range as the full plastic ones, I can’t picture wanting to purchase any of those over this one.
The only bento box I'll use
I have tried several different bento boxes now, and this is the only one that I absolutely love. It has several qualities that the other boxes lacked:
1. It’s dishwasher safe. I warped three other bento boxes trying to put them through the dishwasher. They have so many little compartments that it’s not something i want to do deal with hand-washing. This one took the dishwasher like a champ, with a seal that was easy to remove from the bento box and then push back in.
2. It’s metal. I have read about the bad effects of putting food in plastic, and mostly tried to switch to glass. But, glass is heavy and fragile for travel so metal has been an awesome solution.
3. It actually seals. Some of my other boxes sealed poorly, but this has a great, tight seal.
I guess you get what you pay for because a lot of my previous bento boxes were noticeably less expensive but they only lasted me until it went through the dishwasher and melted, or a lid handle broke. This one not only is durable and well made, but it came with a back-up seal in case the first one wears out. The compartments are large enough that they give me the versatility to throw in meat, rice, and basically, all the parts for a really solid meal.
This lunch box looks exactly like the picture. The color is very bright and the edge is smooth. I like it has different space that can hold different types of food. The size is perfect can fit my daughter’s backpack, not bulky at all. My favorite part is that the food never touch plastic, only stainless steel. That made my mom heart so happy I know it is safe to use. My daughter has been using this lunch box everyday, with all kinds of dish but no leaking at all, sealed very well. I’m happy she can carry this lunch box to school and even football games without any spill or mess. The extra accessories can hold her favorite sauce and soup for her. Very durable cute little lunch box. Plus the dishwasher safe function. I highly recommend for everyday use for school age kiddos.
Good size for kids and snacks, though not super insulated
I was pretty excited to try this bento box, and for a lot of food types it could be pretty great. The design is sleek, though it is on the compact side, and some adults may not consider it large enough for an adult meal, particularly someone more active.
The part that I ended up not liking much about the box design is that the lid is mostly plastic and clear. So while the bottom and majority of the box where food is sitting could be fairly insulating, the lid feels like a missed opportunity and prevents the box from feeling as capable at keeping things cool or hot throughout the day. It won’t matter as much for smaller snacks, and it creates a nice appearance, so I could see why they might choose a high-quality plastic to keep things lighter weight and not as heavy, and pretty.
Overall, this is a really nice snack box design that is super easy to clean and we did not have any problems with any food leaking out when carried on its side. I would say it is too small to be a good value for an adult, but it’s a nice snack option and grateful for kids and certain cases.
Leakproof, and Perfect for Keeping Lunches Fresh and Healthy
My daughter got her first job this summer and started packing her lunch to take to work every day. She absolutely loves this bento box, especially with the fun pink and purple seal and accessories. All of the components feel high quality, from the thick stainless steel to the durable food-grade silicone accents and sturdy locking clasps. The box is spacious, offering plenty of room to hold a nice lunch, and it handles both hot and cold food really well.
The stainless steel does a fantastic job of retaining cold temperatures. When paired with an ice pack in her lunch bag, it keeps salads and other cold items fresh until her break. The included sauce cup is the perfect size for salad dressings or dipping sauces, and it seals down tightly with zero leaks. The box fits great inside standard lunch bags and seals completely airtight. She has had wet items like beans and stews, and it has not leaked at all even when being jostled around.

Cleanup is simple and holds up well to the dishwasher. The silicone seal pops out easily for thorough cleaning, which is great when she wants to switch between the extra accent colors. This is a durable, well-designed Bento Box that will last a long time.
Versatile lunch box with thoughtful extras
I really like the flexibility of this bento box. The removable dividers and sauce cups make it easy to change the layout depending on what I’m packing, whether it’s a sandwich, fruit, snacks, or a full meal. Having two complete sets of lids, dividers, and sauce containers is a nice bonus since you can swap colors or keep one set clean while using the other.
The stainless steel base feels sturdy and high quality, and the clear lid makes it easy to see what’s inside without opening it. Everything seals well, and I haven’t had any issues with foods mixing together during transport.
Cleanup is simple, and the slim design fits nicely in a lunch bag while still holding a surprisingly generous amount of food. Overall, it’s a well-designed lunch box that’s practical for school, work, or everyday meal prep and offers great value with the extra accessories included.
This bento lunch box is stainless steel and very well-made.
This is a high-quality and attractive bento lunchbox that our daughter loves. A very clever feature that she enjoys is the 2 accessories that are interchangeable, one pink and one purple, and these make the box colorful and fun. These are added along the interior top border making it very trendy and unique, but the top is still transparent. I like that the base is made of sturdy stainless steel, and the trim is high-quality silicone that is BPA-free and food safe. I have found that the closure is airtight, keeping food fresh. It is a good size measuring 9.25″ wide x 7″ deep x 2.8″ tall. A bonus is that it comes with a stainless sauce cup with 2 tight lids, a pink and a purple with a heart on top, to match the interchangeable border. Within the lunchbox itself, there are 2 divided compartments, as well as 2 extra silicone dividers, pink and purple, for even more flexibility. One of the sections holds 2.4 cups and the other holds 1.8 cups, for a total of 4.3 cups available. The sauce cup holds 2.4 ounces. The lunchbox is top quality and leak resistant. It has an excellent closure that tightly seals in odors and food. It is multifunctional and is large enough for adults or children, and fits well in backpacks or totes for work, school, or the gym. It is very easy to clean, and it does fine on the top rack of the dishwasher. The silicone seals are easily removed and can be hand washed. This stainless steel bento lunchbox is a great value for the money primarily because of its excellent quality, but also for its trendy appearance, its interchangeable color styles, its ease of cleaning, and its perfect way to pack and have lunch away from home.
I like the quality of this, the grooves on the back a little bit hard to clean, but since it is a double compartment, you would expect that I like that they added the dividers that you can add into the smaller one. I wish there was a divider for the bigger one just in case sometimes my little one likes a variety of food and small amounts rather than like one bigger sandwich or one bigger serving. The dividers seemed to stay well when I first try it and then later on I feel like they kind of fall off a little easily. I just don’t know if it’s because they don’t grip well to the metal because they’re not a silicone like the rest of the materials are it’s like a harder plastic because it has to be firm enough to stay on.
I thought maybe the item would come with two of the little metal sauce ramekins but it’s just one and then you can change the lid depending on what color scheme you want to use for it so it’s too lids and then one container and then two of the dividers with each color as well as two of the silicone bands to change the color for the day as well
I make lunches for myself and husband, so my toddler was excited to have her own lunchbox as well
