We have a family of 5, most are large. All enjoy this cat tree, with usually a couple or three using it at the same time. Very sturdy even when they jump off of it. I just wish they would follow a trail down instead of jumping off of top but that is a cat’s nature. Very easy to put together and one of the very few items that I have purchased and need to assemble with every part fitting, all parts there and good instructions. I had shopped around at local stores but nothing compared with the quality and price.
Very sturdy. Easy to assemble heavy enough not to fall over easily but not too heavy to move. Make sure you bolt it to the wall though. The cats like it and I think it looks nice. Worth the buy.
I’m really impressed with this cat tree. It’s very tall which allows our cats freedom from the kids petting them. Both our cats love it and it’s large enough that our Maine coon can spread out and be happy. The different levels, boxes, peekaboo holes and toys are fun. Very sturdy for the size.
Package (quite heavy) was torn open on one side, but the contents were held in place by plastic bag and undamaged. All parts were clearly labeled and accounted for, including all the fine metal ones. I’m taking one star away for how thin the carpet and bedding is on the platforms and cat-box walls. Much thinner than my last cat tree. Other than that, everything was well-constructed and designed. The instructions were very easy to follow. The only difficult part was threading two long bolts through two wooden platforms and aligning it perfectly with threads set in a third platform. The first one took me 12 minutes of fiddling to get. The second one, only about five. After that, everything was a breeze to finish. My two large toms loved it and were climbing through the cat boxes and playing all during construction. I set it up in front of a picture window and my cats love sitting in the hammock and high platforms to watch the yard. They love the attached toys, too. The attached scratching posts seem sturdy enough. My toms weigh 15 pounds each and are very playful, so I attached the safety cord and then added 20 pounds of weight to the baseboard for stability. I added a couple of blankets to the platforms for bedding and they love it. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase.
Construction was well made. Holes lined up great. As usually these days, the sides of the boxes are just fabric. Cats don’t usually tear it up but it can be misleading to think it’s a solid box. I do wish these cat tree designers would watch the patterns of cats using their boxes. All my cats immediately start using the sisal scratching posts, but because the sisal doesn’t go all the way up to the top of the post, they tear up the top of the fabric of the post instead of the sisal. They use the sisal too but often when they stretch thier bodies line up with the top of the post and shred the fabric as much as the sisal.
You’d make this product an A+ by just extending the sisal from mid to top of the posts. Bottom of post can still be carpet but sisal all the way to the top would make this product last longer and look nicer. For an A++, sell the individual posts for replacements for when it gets shredded. It’d be easy for us to come back to the product and look for replacement posts. Would be a nice maintenence upsell after a year.
This cat tree is really tall and definitely has big enough spaces for XL cats. We have a mix of 1 year old cats and some older XL cats and the spaces are plenty big and luckily the hoop ring pouch sleeping area is supported by two pillars and not just one or it would likely bow with some XL cats but this one does not.
