I got the FACAINCXS Extra Thick 24-foot Round Swimming Pool Cover to replace my existing pool cover that is about three years old and starting to show its age. After unpacking it, I was pleased with the overall appearance and quality. The included steel cable and turnbuckle look very stout and sturdy, which gives me confidence that the cover will stay securely in place.
The cover itself feels about the same thickness and weight as my old cover when it was new. Since that previous cover lasted around three years, I’m optimistic that this one will provide similar durability and protection for my pool through multiple seasons.
Based on the solid construction, sturdy hardware, and overall quality, I am very happy with this purchase and give this pool cover 5 stars.
I ordered this for next season so I can only speak on what I see. It is a very heavy-duty, thick cover that comes with the winch and cable. The gromets are securely attached and strong. There are no defects or tears and the material feel very durable. It is very heavy and seems very durable. The price is comparable to others like.
We have been purchasing standard pool covers for our 24′ round Quantum above ground pool. This particular model has 10″ ledge rails (much wider than most pools) which means we need to size up. This extra thick cover, intended for a 24′ round above ground pool, is sized just right for a little bit of overhang.
The cover material is noticeably thicker than bargain covers we have purchased in the past. Those last only 1-2 winters in our very windy, very cold location. I’m certain we will enjoy quite a few more seasons with this durable cover. In addition to its thicker material, there is a webbing strip sewn into the perimeter where the grommets are installed. What a great feature! This is exactly where most of the holes originate in cheaper winter covers.
The cable and winch that come with the pool cover are standard – nothing special. They work exactly the same way the ones that come with a cheaper cover operate. We use the cable to keep the cover in place, but due to the wider ledge rails, wind gets underneath the cover and wears the material prematurely. Pro Tip: If you live in a windy, snowy, and very cold location with a lot of leaf drop, use the cable and winch provided, and add the 2-piece rail clips that attach the cover to the edge of each ledge rail. These clips keep the cover from sagging, shifting, and blowing up when the wind gets beneath it. They are affordable and will add longevity to your pricey pool cover.
This extrathick pool cover feels really durable right out of the box. The material is heavier than the standard covers you usually get with aboveground pools, and that extra weight helps it stay in place when the wind picks up. The stitching and edging look solid, and the overall size gives you plenty of overhang for securing it tightly.
It covers a 24FT round pool perfectly, with no stretching or thin spots. The surface sheds water well, and it doesn’t sag as much as lighter covers. Even with snow or rain, it holds up without tearing or pulling at the edges.
The included securing system works fine, but the real strength is the thickness of the material — it just feels like it’s going to last more than one season. For the price, the value is excellent, especially if you’re tired of replacing flimsy covers every year.

I felt the need to get a new cover this year that is larger than what came with our pool. The cover that came with it honestly was WAY too small. It didn’t even reach the sides. I don’t know how they thought it would work.
For the last two years I used one that was ok, but over this past winter the ratchet system and grommets failed. It was not reinforced and it just ripped out the holes. We ended up with it all inside the pool rather than covering it. What a mess.
When this cover popped up before we even had the pool open for the season, I felt the need to get it so we were good to go come fall. I have checked it out and am happy with the size for our 20 foot diameter pool. The reinforced edging makes it much better than anything I’ve seen so far for our pool size. The material is thicker than either of the first two covers. The ratchet system is similar in style but much heavier duty than the one that failed. All the way around it feels like a much higher quality material and workmanship was involved with its creation.
I did a test to see about the water resistance. It is good. It won’t allow rainwater or snowmelt to enter the pool. With the pool pillows in place we should avoid seeing any standing water on the cover. I can see this being an asset to helping warm the pools water before opening for the season too.
It will effectively keep out wildlife and neighborhood animals to prevent drowning. This includes insects. But mostly I’m pretty stoked about having it when the leaves stop dropping. We have a large maple nearby whose leaves would blow right in the direction of the pool. So, as long as we close it before they begin to drop, we will avoid a mess for spring.
This cover feels and looks to be a high quality that will last through several winterizing seasons.

This pool cover is extremely thick and durable. It comes with all of the hardware that you need to attach it securely in place come fall. The cover is UV resistant and wind resistant. It tightens down well with the winch and cables that are supplied in the package.
I however can’t stress enough to make sure you measure the pool length before purchasing an account for the ledges around your pool especially if they are wider than some. We made this mistake and didn’t account for them because if we had done that we would have went to the next size up. It all worked out okay though because it fit our neighbors pool down the road from us.
