These shades are super easy to install. I don’t know if they reduce noise, but they do seem to reduce heat from the sun. They look nice and are good quality. Sometimes I have a hard time getting them to lock, but it could just be me. Sometimes the handle flips and it’s hard to pull. I think it’s easier to pull them by the bottom, but it might get dirty over time so I try to use the handles. I just wish they were an inch bigger so there would be less gap on the edges, but I suppose that’s my stupid window sizes.

his roman shade is everything as described and more. i cannot believe the high standard of quality on the mechanism and the high quality in the fabric. WOW!!! will i order this product again? ABSOLUTELY! Do I recommend this product? YES YES YES!
Had to return this. The front was nice looking but the back was unattractive. It wouldn’t work for my high visibility window. It is definitely blackout though. I held it up to the window and not a smudge of light got through.
Great blackout shades for the price
These are great for the value. We ordered the white for our bedroom, they were easy to install and are actually blackout! The pulling mechanism is smooth, easy to use and quiet.
These are good light blocking shades (color is “white”) , but probably don’t do a ton for noise. They have a grey fabric backing plus when they are down, a second white fabric backing, so I would consider them legitimate blackout shades. I don’t really see them doing any noise reduction beyond what a standard curtain does, though – if you really want to reduce noise you need to swap windows out anyways.
They do let some light through the sides as you can see in the picture but again, that’s just how Roman shades work. You are trading a super low profile for a little bit of light on the sides. I plan to put on lightweight curtains on my existing rod to the side, so that will address that for me.
Install was super simple, maybe 5 minutes per, plus some extra time to steam them and remove fabric wrinkles. Overall I am very happy with the shades especially with them being reasonably priced.
