Very strong material on this summer pool cover. With the quality of the material I would think this is a very good year round pool cover, not just summer. It is advertised as a 16′ but maybe thats because of the overhang, not sure, but fits our 15′ just fine with plenty to secure down on the sides. The latching system is strong and it does not move with any wind. We also got a pool pillow to float in side so the pool cover does not rest on the water. This cover is going to last a very long time! I give it an A+++
I was interested in this cover as I struggle every year to close my pool. The covers never last more than a season and the wire that secures it always gets tangled and is unusable the next season (if the cover DID manage to last). This cover seems sturdy and I like the fact that it’s extra large and hangs over the pool, making it easier to secure and cover the whole pool without struggling. The best part is the pulley that secures the wire around the cover – it’s easier than trying to use the old fashioned one that gets tangled and ruined once it’s secured. The cover looks nice with the blue color and it’s hopefully going to last me more than one season – I’m hopeful with the newer pulley system. I’ll know next year!

I bought this 15FT Round Pool Cover with big dreams of keeping the pool clean and small expectations of not wrestling a giant parachute in the backyard.
First impression is that it looks like a serious piece of equipment. Thick, blue, very “I know what I’m doing” energy. My pool? Still the same chaotic backyard puddle of summer fun. But now it’s wearing a professional-grade outfit. Installation went about how you’d expect: me, sweating, circling the pool like I was trying to lasso a very calm whale. The 4 ft overlap is generous, which is Amazon’s polite way of saying, Yes, you will absolutely have extra fabric flapping around like you’re hosting a backyard sailing regatta. Once it’s on, though? Honestly impressive. It hugs the pool like it means it. UV protection, weather resistance, all that serious stuff. It feels like it could survive a small hurricane or at least a mildly aggressive squirrel. The scrim reinforcement makes it feel less like a tarp and more like something you’d see on a military base guarding classified pool floaties. Folding it back up is a full-body workout I did not sign up for but apparently now own. My pool has never been more protected, and I have never been more humbled by a circle of fabric. I would recommend if you want your backyard to look both professional and slightly like you’re preparing for weather-related espionage.
