Great product!!!!
I have bought 8 of these so far! Anyone that want to keep anything down to the ground should purchase these. I have tied down tents and trees and secured heavy items to the ground even in heavy wind these stakes work! also, they come with the drive socket and a good bag to store them in. GREAT PRODUCT WORKS AMAZING!
Used these at a regional festival with a 40×36′ EMT canopy, tied down with 2″ wide 3000lbs ratchet straps. We normally use 14″ long 3/8″ lag bolts with 600lbs ratchet straps, but decided to upgrade a few things this year, including a more rigid canopy frame, and these seemed to fit the “just overengineer this” mindset we had. We saw a several hour spurt of gusts reaching 35-40mph, and these barely flexed.
A decent impact driver was required to get these into the rocky soil though. I’m also skeptical about the included bit being durable for repeated uses, so pick up a spare 18mm impact socket if you’re a worrier like me. The attached double ended swivel rings also seemed weak (and were way too small to attach to anything besides some paracord), so I cut them off and used a 5/16″ 800lbs quicklink, which was able to slide over the auger blades just fine.
We wont be taking them to the big festival this year, but other reviews say they worked great there as well. Looking forward to testing them myself.
Excellent Product and Customer Service
Very impressed with both the quality and ease of use of these ground anchors, and with the excellent product support. Shipping was done quickly after ordered and the anchors came with an included drill socket for use with the installation. Anchors installed very nicely using a drill to drive them into the soil, even in hard and rocky soil at the site. Recommended.
Ground anchor worked well. Insertion with driver was easy in my law
Product worked well for my intended purpose and was sufficiently rugged. I particularly liked that it came with a cloth storage bag that can be hung on my pegboard.
My only wish is that the storage bag was a little larger in width. It is a struggle to get them stakes and supplied insertion tool into the narrow bag for storage. I would only take an additional 1inch of width to make it much easier.
Good product, works well
Stakes are solid and seem well built. I used a cordless power drill to install two of them to hold down a garden statue in semi-rocky soil, to prevent tip over. Stakes went in very easily. So I ordered a second set for another statue.
2x24 worked as advertised
Bought 2×24″ which I used to secure leaning trees.
I was looking for a deep anchor to prevent pull out, and also wanted it to be at ground level. This product meet my needs. I used a corded drill to “plant” it, soil was wet after a rain, so it was not hard, but did required to apply some down force on the drill. I assume it will be much harder on dry soil. Socket head fit but could be tighter. In couple of cases it slipped. The sets arrived nicely packaged (zip nylon inside a bag), quality seems to be good (time will tell) and the attached rings feel secure.
