This thing is a beast! A lot bigger than expected BUT there’s never enough pump when it’s comes to a swimming pool. Our pool did come with a filter system but i upgraded to a bigger filter, only issue was I needed a pump to run 24 hours a day to run our heater, so i purchased this and it runs through the filter then to the heater and back into our pool. I don’t even need to plug the filter in anymore this pump does all the work. So far the pools gone from 78 degrees to 86 now that I can run the heater all day instead of 12 hours a day with the regular filter. We have only had it running a few hours and I’m happy with it. It is a little noisy but no more so then the filter the heater is actually louder.
Great replacement motor.
Got the pool all uncovered and ready to go however the filter had other ideas. Totally DOA. We ordered this replacement motor and were up running within moments. It has two speeds which is really nice if you have kids in the pool. Less velocity keeps the splashing down and less water loss. It’s a gutsy pump, lots of pressure but just as quiet as can be. In fact a couple times I have had to go check to make sure it was running. My only grievance is it seems to put sand in the pool after backwash. It’s not that much, (maybe a tablespoon) but I see it on the floor of the pool. I can live with it, but it’s odd to me that it does it. It’s a good motor and does the job well.
This pump arrived a little early which was good. Install went well, all the necessary fittings were included. It started up and primed real easy and is running super quiet. Seems to have about the same flow rates as the old one. 5 star for sure.
Pool pump works great!
Works great for my 18 ft round above ground pool. It’s powerful but quiet and was easy to instal once I got the right size hose. NOTE: You will need a different size hose that fits from the pump to the filter. The one that comes with it is too big. Otherwise great pump for the price.
