What should I do if the jackhammer does not deliver impact during first use?
If you experience a situation where the motor runs but there is no impact at the tool tip, try installing the flat chisel and striking the tool firmly against a hard surface. This helps activate the internal impact mechanism.
Can't lock the bit in place? Can't get the chisel out?
It is normal for the chisel to move up and down as it is inserted into the machine. If the chisel can't be inserted or removed, check that the chisel position adjustment chuck is restored to its initial position.
When do I add grease and replace the carbon brushes?
Add grease about 1.7 ounce at a time when hammer drll weakness is noticed. Also, replace the carbon brushes when an odor or sparking is noticed.

Perfect for DIY
I have used both this 25 lb model and its smaller 12 lb cousin for several hours, and I’d highly recommend them for any DIYer.
At this price, they’re almost disposable in my book. I didn’t want to drag home an air compressor and pneumatic hammer, so I figured if it got me through my current project, I would just add it to my jewlery collection.
I used it to break through 65-year-old concrete while excavating for a new footing, and it performed far better than I expected. It had plenty of power and never missed a beat.
I’m also using the SDS-Max spade bit to dig through soil, and it’s working very well for that too. The lighter 12 lb model is especially nice.
If you’re a homeowner or DIY, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tool. It’s been an excellent value so far.
This with a shovel bit attachment makes digging holes in hard, rocky soil nearly effortless. Compared to the impossible job of digging them manually with shovel this is a real game changer. Comfortable and reduces vibrations effectively and the power is great, literally better than name brands for way less money, 5/5

I am writing this rewiew to help on decision-making on the suitability of this size/wieght/strength tool. See other reviews for other comparisons. Over-all, I recommenr this great value for what this tool is and have had a good experience with it so far.
This item fits in a rare middle spot of medium weight (25 pounds) but good breaking force (45 joules= 33 foot lbs). There is a big gap in demolition-tool strengths between 10 foot-lbs (rotary hammer) and 40 foot lbs (full jack hammer). Similarly, there is a gap in weights of the tools, usually 12 lbs (small rotary hammer) to 45-55 lbs (full jack hammer). Consider how you might be using a hammer. Ain’t nobody using a 50 lb jack for anything but straight-down foundation/driveway busting. This 25 pounder can be used for reasonable short periods holding horizontally (I ain’t you gym coach, be smart), definitely can work at angles, for instance carving out a cement retainer wall in a garden. But I would maybe not use it for popping out tiled walls or flooring. A lighter rotary hammer tool makes sense therefor more delicate, more horizontal work. This does have a strength dial and SDS heads so you *could* get an angled chisel, and you might be temped to use it on flooring removal, but it is more tool than probably needed unless it is a serious flooring situation.
I also found this tool versitile for concrete “carving” situations: trying to round-out/shape a cut as a first pass (eg toilet hole), shaping a retainer wall,or getting close to a foundation cut line using the different speed/strength setting and swapping out heads easily with the SDS sytem. I also carved down at angles a lot with this tool, in a way that would have taken more time with a smaller, less powerful tool. Got a waist high wall to take down and don’t want to stand on top of it with a jackhammer? Here you go. But you are not going to lift this 25 pounds over your head in a “new door right there, new window over there” situation. And I found it did just fine replacing normal jackhammer operation on things like typical foundation and driveways. Might be a bit short for all-day work for tall guys, maybe experiment with some longer bits if you are doing a lot of driveways. And it isn’t anywhere near as load as commercial grade electric or air jacks. So the stress and strain is less using this for medium-duty jobs.
Other reviewers with more experience can speak to the relative build quality, relative ability, and suitability for profesional work, and perhaps more on the limitations. I find it really mobile, versitile, and mercifully light for use in medium-duty demo situations.
Si es una buena inversi
Tena mis dudas respecto al SDS pero result ser muy buena inversin, me preocupaba un poco que sala un olor a plstico o resina quemada Pero x experiencia se que a veces algunas herramientas al principio de su uso pueden oler as … El primer da lo us 1 hora continuamente el segundo da lo us casi por 2 horas seguidas y ya despus la use aproximadamente x 5 horas continuas ,,,si recomiendo este SDS max berserker …..tengo un SDS max boch y se que es de mejor calidad Pero tiene muy parecido la potencia de 16 Jules y x el precio si lo vale totalmente
It is extremely important that you lubricate this demolition hammer before it’s first use, as it is shipped completely dry!
On page 14 of the instruction manual, under the heading “4. Adding Grease”, it says “.. Top up with grease 10, if necessary (Fig B8)”.
See figures B8-1 and B8-2. When you remove the 4 allen head bolts, you will note a 2 1/2 centimeter by 2 centimeter well, with gears in the bottom of it. You must completely fill it, to the top, with approximately 8 grams of the provided grease.
If you do not lubricate it adequately before it’s first use, I am sure you will shorten its lifetime.
Check the lubrication port before each use, especially for the first ten sessions until you have an idea of how much lube is required for how much use.
It seems to be a pretty good demolition hammer. It worked immediately. I am delighted with the light weight, and even it dies prematurely, it will still be cheaper than a rental.
I don’t usually review something quite so soon after I purchase it, but the lubrication issue was so important and seemed to be related to other bad ratings for this equipment.
Incredible product. Performs as well as name brands available at rental stores for the price less than 2 days rental. I’ve saved $500 on rentals just this year, and do not use it often. Highly recommended
This unit is as a 27 lb. Makita demolition hammer for about 1/7 th ty the price. I’ve only used it two days so far. The quality seams good. Nice case, two chisels, grease and extra motor brushes. I also ordered 6″ chisel for removing porcelain floor tile. Works great.
I bought this because I have broken fence posts I need to replace – about 1ten of them. That means breaking up the concrete in the hole where the post was. It costs $75 per day to rent a jack hammer and I can’t do ten in a day. I paid $170 for this (on sale) and I am very pleased with it. It worked as well as the rental. It won’t break rocks but it goes right through concrete. I’ve done two posts and I am confident this machine will get me through the next eight.
