I picked this up primarily for smaller polishing jobs, and after looking it over, I think it fills a niche that a full-size DA polisher can’t. The 2-inch and 3-inch backing plates make it much easier to work around headlights, mirrors, pillars, wheels, door handles, and other tight areas where larger polishers are awkward. It also comes with a generous assortment of pads and accessories, so you’re ready to get started without buying much else.
The 630W motor feels like it has plenty of power for a compact machine, and I like that it offers a wide variable speed range with a soft start. The random orbital action is beginner-friendly and helps reduce the chance of creating swirl marks compared to a rotary polisher. The cord is also a nice length, giving you good freedom of movement around a vehicle.
The main reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it’s a little heavier than I expected for its size. It’s certainly manageable, but I was hoping for something a bit lighter during extended use. It’s also somewhat noisy while running, though that’s fairly typical for a tool in this category.
Bottom Line: This is a solid little dual-action polisher that complements a full-size machine very well. If you need to polish headlights, motorcycle parts, trim areas, or other tight spots, it offers good power, a complete accessory kit, and excellent value. Just be aware it’s a bit heavier and louder than its compact size might suggest.
so far its good. i had a small polishing/compounding project on my saddle bag lids for my bike. its good for small projects. the polisher is a little heavy, but will be fine for the little use im going to use it. If you are doing a small job or occasional use, this is a good deal. if you are going to make money or constantly be needing a polishing device, i would look at the Rupes polisher. Spend the money.
This tool works well and is as advertised. I have used it hard and for extended periods with no issues. Only thing to comment on is the on/off switch could be improved, other than that it’s great.
