Was opting between this card and a 4060 series. After doing a little research I found that the 3060 12gb might be better than the 4060 8gb even though the 4060 is slightly better in regards to performance. I personally prefer more VRAM so the 3060 was my choice. It runs great but beware, it will run hot under load if you don’t have liquid cooling. I’m using 3 fans in the front and 1 rear fan along with an air cooled heat sink for my cpu and so far have not run into any issues though. Runs modern games at high or even ultra settings and has ray tracing. Noise level is minimum but like I said if you have air cooling then your fans will be working overtime under load. Has a small LED when powered. (Purple in picture)

I bought this because my previous GPU is the RX 6400 which is quite lacking in power. I can’t play more AAA games. It’s a good complement to my older CPU i7-7700. Now it can play games without stuttering. My computer has 16 Gigs memory. This GPU has 12 GB GDDR 6 memory. I’m so happy with it. My computer is a refurbished Dell Precision Tower 3620. I changed the power supply to it by buying an adapter. Buy at least 550Watt power supply with 8 pin connector for GPU. This GPU just barely fits. But it has 2 cooling fans. I can play racing games with my Thrust master T150 wheel. I added 1 terabyte SSD and downloaded all my Steam games to it. Amazing combination and for cheap. Lol. I think I didn’t spend $1,000 for everything including keyboard and mouse and Xbox type controllers. And also USB wi-fi adapter (The antenna type, that’s like a football goal.) By the way the Dell 3620 is a tower. I bought stick on rubber feet and lay it on it’s side so it will fit in my desk.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersExcellent graphics card
I had tried buying a GeForce 3060 before and had all kinds of “bad triangle” problems. I sent it back and bought this one (paying a teeny bit more) because of the ASUS name and quality that represents. Not disappointed. This card works flawlessly. I’m not a hard-core gamer so I can’t judge from those standards. I do have one application that requires intense graphics… and this card meets those needs. I moved from a 6 gig EVGA GeForce1060 (which is a very fine card btw) to this 12 gig ASUS 3060, and my benchmarks jumped incredibly (as was expected). It’s always difficult for me to warrant a near-$300 expenditure because of ONE graphics-intensive application, but once the money is spent the performance is what matters. Good quality is remembered long after cost is forgotten. I have an ASUS power-laptop that has lasted me for quite some time and have never had problems with the ASUS line. This card lives up to its brand name.

(No, I am not involved with ASUS in any way. Just a satisfied customer of quality products.)

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGreat All-Around Card for the Price!
This is a great all-around card for the price! It delivers solid performance, reliability, and great value for the money. Whether you’re using it for gaming, content creation, or everyday computing, it’s fast and handles tasks smoothly without breaking the bank.

One of the best things about this card is its compact size, which allows it to fit in most cases without issues. This makes it an easy choice for various builds, and it has become my go-to card for customer builds due to its dependability and performance-to-price ratio.

The build quality is excellent, and it runs cool and quiet under load. Installation was quick and hassle-free, and the drivers were easy to set up. It provides great performance for the price point, making it a fantastic choice for those looking for a balance of power and affordability.

Highly recommended for anyone needing a dependable and cost-effective GPU!

Great GPU but price is a little high!
Great video! Should have just bought it out right. Instead I used affirm and the price and interest I owe is ridiculous. Bad choice on my part! Works great though, but for the final price using affirm it’ll be close to One Thousand(1000)dollars!

Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersWonderful card for gaming and video
I love this card. I had a 1060S and this just blows it out of the water but .. it is a much newer card. I bought it for a new build on a budget and am able to play Ghost of Tsushima on all high settings and still get above 60FPS flawlessly. Game looks incredible.

Aside from games .. we have all of our DVD’s burned to a hard drive and our computer is connected via HDMI to our living room monitor. The RTX Video enhancements super resolution and HDR make these MP4’s look amazing. The DVD’s and other video never looked this good.

Amazing graphics card for a great price. No image tearing or stuttering, can run every game at nearly max graphics. The ray tracing looks phenomenal and the performance is consistent. I can game uninterrupted and the sound level is mellow. No overheating or lack of sufficient memory.

    Oooweeee
Almost had a heart attack when I popped her in my new rig a there was no signal display for either monitor using DP and HDMI so I took it out and powered it on and it worked. I’m assuming I just needed to install the new chipset drivers and windows updates for the motherboard before I could power it up with the gpu because after that it worked. But I will say it did take like 5 minutes for the mobo to even recognize it was in there then it automatically booted up nvidia and let me get the latest drivers haven’t tested it all out yet but I’m excited to see what she’s capable of

Update edit- I’ve ran extensive test and after getting the msi afterburner settings correct she barely goes over 65C while playing games like Fortnite, red dead redemption 2, and saints row 5 running at 1080p max high settings. With DLSS she gets about 80-92 solid FPS so I assume without it would be 65-75 which is still extremely playable. I have a 180mhz monitor so Fortnite I have set to 144 with DLSS and she still runs smooth with the upscale max high settings. This gpu is still worth it for the price point given how “old” it is. It was between this and the 4060 8gb vram I’m glad I went with this one as it still performs as I need it to !! Very satisfied
