This is a very handy item to have near the door. It went together easily and is quite solid. Shoes go on the rack and backpacks, etc. go on top. No more “Where are my shoes?” “Where’s my backpack?” It won’t take care of the “I’m late!” but that would take a miracle.
It is high-quality wood and very sturdy. The instructions for assembly could be a lot clearer, but fortunately there aren’t that many pieces so it was still pretty easy to put together and it looks great and fits the size that we were looking for perfectly. The top doesn’t have any pistons or anything to slow down the closing of the lid, so be careful when shutting it not to pinch your fingers.
Best quality, beautiful wood
If I could give this product 10 stars I would. The wood is of excellent quality, the construction is high end, the color is so beautiful , sturdy and functional! Ordered two and I am extremely impressed
As you can see from the side view photo even my husband’s SIZE 13 footwear fit nicely–no hang over. (Most of the shoe racks I researched could not accommodate his size — much overhang.) Well built. A bit difficult to assemble for 2 of the legs — my husband was able to get the screws better positioned than I and succeeded in completing the assembling for me. Top opens and can hold a variety of items — gloves, keys, boat whistles, etc. VERY PLEASED with this item. Blends nicely with the other wood furniture in the surrounding area.
Very sturdy
I need to replace my old shoe rack that was a little weak and was really looking for a nice bench with shoe storage. This one is just so perfect with extra storage under seat. Easy to build and can hold good weight.
