Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersStainless steel is the way to go.
Easy to use and clean. It costs more than a plastic litter box, but it is worth every penny. Stainless steel is the way to go. The larger box allows room for the cat to move around and comfortably do its business. No odor whatsoever, and the cat is very happy

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersHere, I'll save you the trouble: buy this box.
This is truly the best litter box system out there. I’ve tried countless — genuinely, I can’t recall how many boxes I’ve gone through with my cat over her 15 years of life, from two separate Modkat boxes, Breeze’s system, cheaper jumbo boxes with a variety of sifting and non-sifting arrangements housed within, clumping litter…I’ve done everything and spent easily a grand on boxes at this point. Keep a Pet Genie next to it for solids, sift through the pine dust, and you’ve found The Solution. This thing is stainless steel so it can be cleaned easily and won’t hold onto odor, and it has the perfect size grate for sifting. High walls so no accidents outside the box, and even if they do pee on the wall, a quick Lysol wipe takes care of it with ease between cleanings. With a single cat, I only need to change out the liner and do a thorough clean of the box and top off the pellets every two weeks, and even at that point, it doesn’t smell (and the process is SO easy compared to the other systems). It just smells like pine pellets, and the pine dust doesn’t smell like urine. I know folks say that and you roll your eyes and say “yeah right”, but seriously. We have had guests (who were self-proclaimed anti-cat people…) shocked that they were unable to smell anything, even from inside the “cat room” where we keep her box. Their jaws dropped when I told them I hadn’t cleaned out the pine dust in a week. Anyway, just save yourself the money, years of headaches, terrible scented clumping litter, and just buy this box.

A veces te ponen: arenero tamao L, XL, XXL, XXXL. NO!

Working well for my foster kittens!
I bought this to use for my foster kittens. I love that it’s stainless steel so it’s easy to keep clean and disinfect in between litters. Comes with a scooper, litter bags and a litter mat which were nice surprises! Giving it 4 stars just because I wish there was a size L and because I wish that there was an option to have more than 2″ between the sifting tray and the bottom pan.

Golden Review Award: 55 From Our UsersThe perfect litter box for me and my ca
As other reviewers have said, this is a very well-made sifting litter box and absolutely worth it.

In my opinion, pine litter is as close as it gets to the ideal litter type: close to zero tracking, very cheap, decent odor control, non-toxic and probably the most sustainable type of litter. However, you need a sifting litter box because cat pee will cause the pine litter to crumble into sawdust. In a normal litter box, this builds up and gets nasty very quickly. It tracks everywhere and you have to dump the litter box on a weekly basis, which is wasteful. A sifting litter box solves this problem by allowing the sawdust to fall into the bottom compartment. On a daily basis, you scoop the solids out, then use the scoop to mix the litter a bit to sift the sawdust. You then add a little bit of litter every few days to top it off, and then once a month or so empty the bottom compartment of the sawdust. It’s very convenient and easy.

So why choose this admittedly expensive box? There are definitely much cheaper sifting litter boxes out on the market. First, you have to be careful to get a sifting litter box that works specifically with pine litter; not all sifting boxes have the right sized holes to allow the sawdust to fall without getting clogged. This one works perfectly. This one is also very large compared to others, which was very important for me because my cat is rather big and needs space to maneuver. Many other shifting litter boxes are more appropriate for kittens and small adult cats. This one also isn’t too far off the ground so it’s not difficult for him to climb in and out. Finally, it’s made of stainless steel so it’s very easy to clean and will probably last a much longer time compared to plastic litter boxes.

It is pretty expensive upfront, but if you’re just transitioning to pine litter, know that you will be saving a lot of money in the long-term. I spend about $20 a month at most on a big bag of pine litter. If I were more careful when scooping out the solids, I could probably make it last even longer.

So why wouldn’t you want this litter box? The sides are only about 6 inches tall so if you have a cat who often pees out of the side of the box, this is probably not deep enough. And if you are in a very small space, make sure you measure first because this litter box is larger than normal.

Overall, I highly recommend it and it is perfect for me and my cat’s needs, and I’m glad to have invested in it.

Golden Review Award: 41 From Our UsersGame changer in the litter box game!
How many litter boxes have your tried? I’m sure I have you beat! I changed to stainless steel years ago and have been relatively happy with them. But a year ago I also changed to wood pellets for this House of Tabbies and the pile of sawdust can get pretty smelly. Bruce likes to spread it around and my old girl, Tuey, with her kidney disease, makes mounds of it. This litter box is a real blessing!

About this particular sifting litter box: the stainless steel is high quality and the sifter has large enough holes that raking the pellets each day easily sifts the sawdust through. (I pick out the solid waste with tongs and flush it.) It comes with some very high quality extras too! The large mat is very nice and kitty approved on its own (photo with Tuey). The scoop is stainless steel and there is a supply of bags also.

In one photo, I have the wall extension that came with a previous stainless steel litter box and I was very happy that it fit on this too.

About wood pellets: my three tabbies all wandered into my yard at different times and two had been on their own for several years. Bruce and Tuey adjusted right away to the pellets but my problem child Tippi took a while but got there with catnip and a mix with clay initially. I have 4 litter boxes mostly for half-feral Tippi!

The pine pellets are really nice smelling but I think super expensive. I get a 40lb bag of wood pellets from big box “tractor-in-the-name” store for $6.17! They are clean and safe but don’t smell like a pine forest.

    Perfect solution!
This is the only rare solution to a pine litter stainless steel box. I am so sad it is unavailable now. I bought one to try and now that i wanted to get another for my other cats, it’s sold out. I hope they restock!

Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersBest litter box for pellet litter!
Bought this for several reasons. First my cat had began to poop on the carpet in the living room. My husband suggested a bigger litter box. So we looked for one. Secondly we use pellet litter and I need a sifting litter box. Thirdly this litter box is raised a the litter sawdust that the pellet litter easily falls to the bottom, and I no longer have to clean the litter box every single day. And additional plus is that since I’m not scooping the sawdust into my litter genie everyday, my litter genie bags last longer saving me more money in the long run. So, yes it’s expensive for a litter box. But in the end it saves me money and added time. So that’s a win in my book. It is unfortunate that the bags it comes with come in just a singular roll, and there is no repurchase option, but I was able to find some compostable ones on Amazon, you just need to know the size of your litter box. Also my cat is very happy with it. And she no longer poops on the carpet!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersFinally, a Litter Box That Checks All the Boxes
    Great Litter Box!

    Pros:

    1. Very spacious — my cat has plenty of room to do his business comfortably.

    2. Made with stainless steel parts, including the scooper and it makes it easy to clean it

    3. Good at controlling urine odor because of the designed space for pads (2 pads are needed to cover the whole area)

    4. Convenient step makes it easy for my cat to get in and out.

    5. Works perfectly with stone pellets.

    6. Smooth design with no sharp edges.

    7. It’s very light

    8. Good value for the money if it lasts. Just compare the price with plastic litter boxes with the same design which are available for around $80!!

    Worth i
Expensive but worth it since now I don’t have to DIY my own sifting litter box every time I need a new one and since it’s stainless steel it will hopefully last for years rather than plastic bins which will need replacing every year. The bin bags are effective at keeping the pee smell inside and makes clean up a lot easier and mess-free compared to my last litter box set-up. The box itself has good depth but knocking one star off as it would be better is there was an option for raised sides or a cover as one of my cats has started spraying inside the litter box and I could really do with some raised sides so it doesn’t get all over the floor and wall.
