The pillow stayed firmly in place and made it much easier to manage the pool cover.
This pool pillow has been very useful for keeping the cover raised and preventing rainwater from collecting in the center. It was easy to inflate, position, and secure with the included rope. The material feels durable, and it stayed properly inflated for several days. It is a good size for my above-ground pool, remains in place, and helps the cover keep a better shape. I am happy with how well it has worked.
Durable Air Pillow Comes With Rope Too
It’s a little premature for winterizing the pool, but this air pillow suits our needs. It’s as thick as others we’ve used in the past, and has grommets for easy tying. I appreciate that this company even includes rope for doing so. Inflation/deflation is an easy process too. Anyone who has worked with pool air pillows knows to fill them to about 70% capacity; otherwise they may burst during winter months. Adding air pillows to pools during off-seasons evenly distributes pressure and prevents winter damage. Air pillows and water bags don’t typically last too long–I’m hoping this one makes it through two seasons, which is how long they usually last.
Heavy duty and great quality
This pool pillow is excellent. The 0.5mm PVC is noticeably thicker and tougher than the standard cheap ones that pop under snow weight. The 6×6 ft size is perfect for creating a solid ice-compensating dome under the cover, and the included 49.2ft rope made installation quick and easy. Very impressed with the build quality, and it is definitely built to survive freezing winter temperatures!
Makes Winter Pool Care So Much Easier and More Efficie
In the past, water and debris would collect in specific places, making the cover heavy and challenging to remove or clean later. The surface naturally slopes toward the edges when the pillow is in place, allowing extra water to drain away rather than collect in the center. I no longer have to constantly drain standing water every few days thanks to this one improvement. In the absence of the pillow, the structure may be strained as the weight of the rocks and water tends to pull inward toward the cover’s edges. This product gives me greater assurance that it absorbs and diverts pressure to protect the pool frame. Maintaining above-ground pools properly during the winter is essential to prevent vulnerability, making that peace of mind well worth the investment. It is still reasonably easy to move despite its larger size, and once it is in position, it remains there. I have faith in its longevity because it has held up well over weeks of fluctuating weather. I can state with confidence that this 3.9-foot pool pillow has lived up to my expectations after a few weeks of use. It has helped relieve pressure on the pool frame, prevented the cover from collapsing, and spared me from having to fight to get rid of standing water all the time. I don’t think I’ll ever go another season without it because it has become a necessary component of my winter pool preparation. I strongly advise anyone with an above-ground pool to give this pillow a try in order to safeguard their investment and avoid the hassle of off-season pool maintenance. It’s a straightforward fix that produces observable effects, and it clearly makes a difference in preserving the cover’s functionality. I’ve already noticed that it makes things much easier after a few weeks, and I anticipate that these advantages will last the remainder of the season.
