I just did a big long review for these, but like so many of my reviews for the past while now, after submitting it and getting the “successfully submitted” racket, it vanished. Again. Completely and utterly gone into the void. (And yes I waited, I know it can take time to switch from needing to be reviewed to pending, etc. This has happened a lot lately.)
So this is just a summary. Apologies.
May try to flesh it back out later, but lets see if it disappears again before putting all that effort into it, and just wasting time, again.
Items arrived bent and warped. Three are still usable, the other will need fixing. The lid on most warped one is difficult to get on/off.
The holes are too narrow for the local worms. Will have to add some larger holes to the bottom half of bins, then file them so the worms don’t get cut.
The bottoms are covered with the same hardware cloth as the rest, they are not open. Just fyi.
Somewhat cheaply made but probably good for just starting out, and tight budget gardens.
Four hooks included. Don’t know why yet.
Lids push on, not screwed on.
Open mesh of tops may attract flies. Will try setting different pots over top, plastic, clay, with rock on top of that, and see if that prevents them.

Works great. I pulled them out a few weeks after having them full of scraps (just to check them) and lots of worms (and roly polies) were throughout. They don’t show signs of rusting at this time. $10 a piece isn’t bad for these. The caps may come off in high wind.

These are stainless steel composting bins for turning food waste into soil. The 4 pack includes two 3.6 inch bins and two 4.3 inch bins.
These are actually too small for composting. What I am going to use them for is barbecuing small items that can fit inside and roll, such as corn, mushrooms, potatoes, small vegetables, or other foods that benefit from even roasting. The stainless steel construction with 360 degree ventilation allows heat and smoke to circulate while keeping food contained.
First, the rust-resistant metal construction holds up in outdoor conditions. The 360 degree mesh ventilation allows airflow for even cooking. The secure snap-on lid keeps food contained while rolling or shaking over the grill.
Second, the two sizes accommodate different food quantities. The smaller bins are good for mushrooms, garlic cloves, or small potatoes. The larger bins handle corn on the cob, multiple ears, or larger vegetable pieces.
Third, the bins come ready to use with no assembly needed. For composting purposes, these are too small to be effective for household food waste. But for grilling vegetables over a campfire or barbecue, they work very well.
This review is based on specification verification and intended use for grilling. I will update after extended use to report on long-term durability and performance.
Cool concep
I am an avid gardener and have never seen a product like this! Love the concept of burying these, and being able to just take scraps from the kitchen right out to my little garden.
They came in good shape, and look exactly like they are presented in the ad.
Not sure how sturdy the metal will be to hold up over time? That’s my only concern but time will tell.
These are a great idea and are easy to use. They don’t come with any instructions. This is a set of two larger diameter and two slightly smaller diameter so they arrive nested inside each other. The height is the same for all of them. A long deep hole needs to be dug to sink these into the ground so they sit flush with ground level. Then when you have compostable scraps you place them inside and let the worms do their thing. It’s a good idea as there really isn’t any odor related to decomposing food scraps. The four cylinders came with three little hooks for removing the lids when they’re in the ground to add more scraps. I think there should have been four but maybe not. Either way there’s plenty. The cylinders aren’t overly large so may not hold all your food scraps if you have a lot of veggie scraps but this is a good idea to add nutrients to your garden soil.
Awesome way to compos
These inground worm composting bins have been a fantastic addition to my garden. They were easy to install—just dig a hole, place the bins in the soil, and start adding kitchen scraps. It’s a simple and effective way to reduce food waste while naturally enriching the soil. Although its smaller than I thought, but the stainless steel construction feels sturdy and holds up well outdoors. I also like the ventilated design with plenty of holes, which allows worms to move freely and helps speed up the composting process. The lids fit securely, keeping pests out while making it easy to add new food scraps.
After a few weeks, I noticed my vegetable beds had healthier-looking plants and the soil became richer and looser. It’s a low-maintenance composting solution that works quietly in the background without taking up much space.

I’ve been maintaining a small family vegetable garden for several years, growing fresh, healthy, organic produce for my family of four. Every season I try new techniques and improvements, and composting has always been a big part of keeping my soil productive.
Currently, I use a modified storage bin as a compost container. It has holes near the bottom and is partially sunk into the ground so worms can move freely in and out while breaking down kitchen scraps, garden waste, and other compostable materials. The system works well, but it’s located away from my raised beds, so I have to move the finished compost into the garden when it’s ready.
That’s what attracted me to this set. These bins allow me to compost directly in my raised beds, right next to the vegetables I’m growing. While they do take up a little growing space, the convenience and benefits more than make up for it. Instead of transporting compost, nutrients can be created and delivered right where they’re needed.
The bins themselves are sturdy and well made. The metal mesh construction feels durable, and I like the simple wire hook included to help lift the lids on and off. They’re deep enough to reach the bottom of my raised beds and wide enough to hold a good amount of kitchen scraps and garden waste. I expect they’ll do a great job attracting worms and encouraging all the soil-building activity that comes with them.
Unfortunately, these became available after my summer garden was already planted, so I won’t be incorporating them this season. However, they’ve already earned a place in next year’s garden plans. For gardeners who practice composting and want a convenient way to feed their soil directly at the root zone, this is a thoughtful and practical solution.
This is a set of four in-ground worm composting bins in two different sizes. I’ve been composting for years, though I have been using an above-ground tumbler. This is the first time I am doing in-ground worm composting. The set of four arrives in two boxes, with two in each box. No instructions or literature is included. Each metal bin has its own lid and a metal hook that you use to lift off the cover. They are well-constructed, durable, and sturdy. I like how it is an all-metal design. There are no sharp edges. Including a metal pickup hook will also protect your hands and fingers when you need to lift open the lid. The difference between the two sizes is not that drastic. One is a bit wider and taller than the other. I placed one in a small garden bed. I dug a hole wide enough to fit the caged bin. I haven’t done worm composting before, so I was unsure how deep the hole should be. I know with regular composting, it needs a certain percentage of “browns” and “greens”, it needs moisture, and air. By turning it or tumbling the compost, it aerates it. I don’t see a way to turn or tumble the compost in these bins, so I didn’t bury it too deep so that air can be introduced to it. In hindsight, maybe I should have dug a deeper hole? I am not sure. After placing the bin in the hole, I added some kitchen waste in it for composting. Is it working? Well, it has only been a few days, so time will tell. Am I supposed to lift the entire cage out of the ground and check for worms? I don’t know. I wish the product gave some guidance. I was going to place another one in the center of a large planter. I haven’t done it yet as I need to prepare the planter. But if I go forward with this, how will worms get into the planter? I would have to add them myself, I guess. So I am not sure I am going to do it or not. As I said, I will see how the in-ground one I set up does over time. I am assuming having it in a cage will protect the compost from wildlife from getting at it (other than worms). At the asking price, it works out to be $10 per bin. I guess it is an okay value, though I haven’t priced others as of yet. As previously mentioned, they are well-made, so it is probably a good value as long as they don’t rust.
2 sizes 4 canisters & nicely designed
Very solidly made stainless steel composters for one’s garden. They come in a package of 4 with two different sizes! They have a lid & also a hook to pick up the canister should you wish to move it or replace the composting items you placed inside them! They have a nice metal stainless type of mesh that is rust resistant & will allow worms to freely leave through that mesh to help benefit your garden while keeping the compost materials inside. I plan to use them in my veggie gardens & also what’s nice is any leftovers that can be composted will naturally help to benefit the soil & also create worms that we all know also play their part in healthy soil. I love them as for small containers they are well made & not overly large so what you compost won’t have time to create anything else other then new fresh soil.
Solid, durable, and a smart way to compost directly in the garde
I have not had a chance to fully use these inground worm composting bins yet, but my first impression is very positive. They appear to be solid, well-made, and durable, with sturdy stainless steel construction and plenty of holes for worms to move in and out as intended.
I really like the concept of composting food scraps directly in the garden instead of needing a separate large compost bin. These seem like a right-sized solution for a vegetable patch or raised bed garden, especially for someone who wants to recycle more kitchen waste without a complicated composting setup.
The lids fit well, and the overall design looks practical and easy to use. Based on the quality and construction, they look like they will work exactly as advertised once installed and put into regular use.
