I bought this fountain to replace my 8w fountain in the bird bath my husband destroyed with a weed Wacker. Good thing he did because this one is better! Small pump but it pushes a lot. I even noticed that it was still running an hour after being in the shade! All my other ones stop once the sun isn’t hitting the panel anymore. Great buy!
Works great! I’m not sure if mine just hasn’t charged enough (I set it up kinda late in the day when it arrived), because so far it doesn’t hold a charge. Not really an issue for me, because I’m using it in a small pond that I only hang out by in the daytime.
Packaging was good, EXCEPT they literally fold the tubing over, rather than coiling it. This leads to some pretty major kinks. I docked a star for that. I left mine out in the sun to try to unkink it, so hopefully it straightens out a bit.
Set up is very straightforward and easy, and so far I’m not disappointed.
I’ve ordered some solar powered fountain pumps in the past but what stood out with this one from Jbobbju was the size of the 12W solar panel. Compared to the other ones I’ve ordered this one is huge. I absolutely love it. It has an easel type stand that can be adjusted to catch the most sunlight. I did end up reinforcing the stand with a rock so it wouldn’t fall down (or get knocked down by critters). It has a nice long cord (description says 9.84 ft). The pump itself is rather standard but it does have a couple of tube attachments that give extra height should this be used in a deeper pond, pool, or container. The 6 different nozzles are nice as not every nozzle will work with every container (i.e. smaller container with a wide spread nozzle sprayer will have water splashing outside the container). I haven’t used the hose but do appreciate it being included. Initially I thought this was a bit pricey but now that I’ve seen the size of the solar panel and all the extras it comes with I think this solar fountain pumps is a really good deal.

This is a great set up for my deep bird bath. I had this set up within a few minutes of having the items out of the box. The pump has a sponge filter on it to keep debris out of the impeller. It comes with several accessories that you can use for the fountain portion of the pump. I do wish that there was included descriptions for each adapter top so you knew what they did without having to install them and then disconnect the setup once you figured out they weren’t what you wanted. For my birth bath, the only one that worked was the low 5 spray arm top. All the others had too much spread or height and water dumped out of the bowl and would make it empty itself out which obviously isn’t ideal. The tall arms are better suited for a fountain or larger basin.
This runs entirely on immediate solar power. There’s no battery storage here so if there’s no, or low sun, this doesn’t operate. In low light, it will run in spurts until the light is strong enough. I would have loved a small battery backup for this so that it would run at night or on a cloudy day.
I didn’t need to use the tubing that came with this but it was extremely kinked and likely would impact the flow of water. Unfortunate! I wish that there were more low height options for smaller setups included in the kit but I’m making do with that I’ve got! It is nice to know that the water in my bird bath is moving and not likely to harbor mosquito larvae, thanks to this setup. I’m A fa

A couple of minor issues are worth noting. First, the tubing arrived with several kinks, which restricted flow until I straightened it out. Leaving it in the sun for a bit—or giving it a quick pass with a heat gun—helps it relax back into shape. Second, while the pump works well, it does feel a bit small relative to the large solar panel it comes with. It performs fine, but you can tell the panel could easily support a slightly stronger pump.
Even with those small quirks, the overall package is excellent. The build quality feels solid, the pump starts up quickly in sunlight, and the birds seem to love the moving water. For anyone looking to add a simple, solarpowered water feature to their garden, this is a great choice.
