Strong pool cover that stays secure in windy weathe
was looking for something more durable than the thinner covers I had used in the past. Installation was straightforward and the included ratchet tensioner made it easy to get a tight, secure fit around the pool. Even after a few windy days, the cover stayed in place without shifting.
The material feels thick and well made and appears much more resistant to tearing than standard covers. I also like that it helps keep leaves, dirt, and other debris out of the pool, which reduces cleanup time when opening it back up. The waterproof construction sheds rain effectively and the cover has held up well to sun exposure so far.
Considering the heavy duty material, secure fit, and overall build quality, this cover offers excellent value for money and gives confidence that it will last for multiple seasons
I’ve gone through a couple pool covers over the years, and this one is definitely a step up in quality. The material feels thick and durable right out of the box—not flimsy like some of the cheaper options. You can tell it’s made to handle weather.
Installation was pretty straightforward. The ratchet tension system is a nice touch and really helps get a tight fit around the pool. Once it’s secured, it actually stays in place, even on windy days, which was a big problem with my old cover.
It does a great job keeping debris out too—leaves, dirt, and bugs aren’t constantly ending up in the pool anymore. That alone has saved me a lot of cleanup time.
I’ve also noticed the water holds temperature a little better overnight, so it seems to help with heat retention as well.
Only thing I’d recommend is double-checking your pool size before ordering to make sure you get the right fit, but as long as it lines up, it works great.
Overall, really solid cover—durable, secure, and does exactly what you need it to do.
Impressively Heavy Duty
This pool cover is to replace the one we had. It is comparable in price, but not in value – this one is significantly better quality. This will do a great job at protecting our pool. I would recommend this product to someone else.

I love that this cover has a ratcheting system. You can really cinch it down snug. But the ability to get it super tight could easily be a double-edged sword. You could feasibly crank down on it hard enough to bend your pools legs or damage something else. You need to keep that in mind before you get too crazy with it. That said, the ratcheting system beats the heck out of the pull ties for cinching up, and the weird metal turnbuckles too. The wind definitely won’t blow this thing off, but I wouldn’t set an elephant or anything very heavy on it either.
Pro-Tip: put a giant pool floating ring or something similar under it to go between the water and it, so that the center sits up higher than the edges — this will help rain drain off and not collect in the middle and sag, and possible create problems or damage.
The material seems sturdy and is plenty thick, and my hope is that it will last a couple of seasons in the weather here in Arkansas. I say that bc it’s a little pricy, but that’s okay if it holds up for at least couple, maybe three, seasons. Otherwise, it might be useful to get cheaper ones and replace them each year, which is what we have done in the past.
If it holds up, I’d say it’s a good value. But it’s dependent on that. We like it. Just beware of over-tightening.
Best classic land yacht car cover for a fraction of the price!!
We’ve an old car that hasn’t been driven in years and for most of its life has been garaged up until a few years ago when we bought a century home with a very small garage that it won’t fit in. We’ve bought 2 custom car covers that both broke the bank and neither lasted more than about 18 months before literally dry rotting and becoming useless.
When looking at various types of tarps, it hit me that a large, oval, above ground pool cover might actually be a viable option and for about 1/4 of the price of a custom car cover.
When this 12x24ft oval pool cover with ratchet strap arrived, I wasn’t disappointed at all!! The cover for over and around our land yacht like it was made for it and the ratchet straps that go through as loop about every foot is definitely a step up from having to place bricks on top of the hood and trunk to keep the cover from being blown off in the weekly storms we get here this time of year.
The cover itself is made from a pretty thick material that feels 100x better than all our past car covers and every time it rains, the bird poop rinses away!
And as it’s a ratchet strap, it’s easy to loosen to access the car and there’s nothing to damage the body!
So, if this crazy affordable pool cover is doing an outstanding job covering our classic car, I can’t even imagine how well it would do on an above ground pool!!
For the last three years I have been literally buying a new pool cover each year. I live in the Northeast where we get a lot of rain, a lot of snow, and, well, traditional pool covers tend to get loaded up with water and I have to pump it out. So my friend turned me on to “mesh” pool covers, which let all that extra water through the pool, but protects it from anything falling in and muddying up the waters (literally). And that’s great. But the reality is, unless you are diligent with blowing leaves and debris off of the cover, stuff piles up and sinks the cover (no matter how many flotation devices are under it) and, ultimately, your pool cover becomes a gigantic tea bag that, when you remove the cover, reveals tannin filled water that takes a solid two weeks to clean. On top of all that, those mesh covers rip just trying to get them off after a cold winter, so I’m done. DONE.
Now I’m moving back to a traditional pool cover, and, this time out, I’m going for broke with something nigh invulnerable to the elements, and this thing MASSIVE and beefy 24 foot cover from Aibiley looks like it’s going to fit the bill.
Now, as I’m writing this, it’s June 26, so I’ve literally just got my water swimmable and won’t be covering the pool until late September, but just upon receiving this package and feeling the weight, I knew this was a heavy duty piece of kit. I opened the box and carefully peeled the plastic wrapping off and felt the material and this is THICK stuff. I mean, REALLY thick, heavy, and I’m confident this will stand up to all the abuse my location will throw at it in the off-season. I also got to get my hands on the Ratchet Tension system and man, this is going to be a BREEZE to install. So much better than the terrible thin coated wire and rinky-dink ratchet that came with my previous covers. This goes on like a belt through a bunch of well-placed loops, and then has an ACTUAL ratchet to tighten it into place. Bonus points for the awesome color combo (I love black and orange together) and the little strip of reflective safety stuff on the loops for nighttime reflectivity.
In the end, I’m very confident this will fit my 24 foot round pool like a glove, and, along with a couple of inner-tubes stacked in the center, will keep the water and leaves from pooling/piling up and weighing things down. I hate pool season, and do this all for my kids, but I’m actually looking forward to opening the pool NEXT year and not looking at 11,500 gallons of dark brown “tea” and 2 weeks of playing chemist to get it anywhere close to swimmable. This is a PREMIUM cover and comes at a premium price, but my initial inspection tells me it’ll be worth every dime.
This is quite the pool cover. We bought this for our 16 foot round pool and it fits great. For a while we’ve been using the cover that came with the pool and it was absolute garbage so we knew that we needed to get another one. On top of that, we also bought a heater for our pool and this has a reflected inside. That helps keep solar heat inside the pool, allowing it to heat up even faster, and since we’ve been using it, we have noticed an increase in the performance of the heater. The fit was perfect ease of use super easy but you definitely need two people. The quality of the material is really really nice. Just feeling it and touching it and feeling the texture and the weight you could tell it’s a high duty high quality pool cover. Durability wise once again it’s super high-quality and this thing should last you forever. One of our big issues was wind with the one that we were using that came with the pool and this having the ratchet strap is going to keep your pool cover on no matter what. The wind isn’t gonna take your cover off as long as you install this properly. Speaking of this is very easy to install as well. Again, you need at least more than one person however it’s very doable with two people. I really like the attention to detail the fact that it comes with a little cover over the actual ratchet and the rat strap to keep weather off was a nice touch as you don’t want that getting wet all the time so they really thought about everything which was nice. Overall, I highly recommend this pool cover. It works really really well and the ratchet strap keeps the thing attached to your Poole however I highly recommend you make sure not to over tighten it because it feels like once you start getting it to a really tight spot especially with an above ground pool you can start to feel movement so make sure you don’t over tighten it however you can tighten it quite a , especially enough to keep the wind from blowing your cover away. All in all I highly recommend this cover. Wind resistance 10/10.
Questionable for winter use
Based on the pictures showing this cover with snow on it, I ordered it for winter use.
I particularly like the strap system instead the typical grommets and cable used to secure the cover. The kit includes a ratchet strap long enough to go fully around the pool (24′ diameter in my case). It’s epsecured to. The cover through stitched-on loops made of the same material. But they’re well in from the edge of the cover, limiting its ability to expand under heavy water or snow load.
That’s my biggest concern. I typically use a heavy-duty tarp-style cover with welded plastic seams, and it usually lasts 3-4 winters. The stitched seams on this cover may not hold up to as much abuse from a New England winter.
The woven polyester fabric is also thinner than a premium plastic cover. The good news is that it folds up tighter and stores in a much smaller space. I’m also concerned that it will be harder to clean, as I usually need to use fairly harsh cleaners to remove algae and dirt when cleaning any cover for the summer.
It is much easier to install, removeable, and pack up than a traditional plastic cover, making it nice for summer use and heat retention during the swimming season. (It’s still somewhat challenging on a 24′ pool, but would be quite easy on a smaller size.)
4 stare based on my winter concerns, but this would be a solid 5-star product for summer use or in climates without heavy winter snow and ice.
