It comes with ground spikes and cords to help tie it down , But I haven’t needed to use them all season and I live in an area where the wind can kick up pretty strong out of no where some times Easy to stake down so the wind won’t blow it off.
This is such a good pool cover!!! I researched about 20 covers and initially ordered a cover with the ratchet attached, needless to say that didn’t work so well for me, I purchased this one and it is just what I needed it’s made of durable material and has straps on each end that you click together making it a lot easier than the ratchet design, we haven’t had to use the stakes, but we definitely will once we put it up after summer.
My pool is 20ft. I ordered a 21ft cover because i wanted the ease of putting it on. I use bunjees to hold the excess down. It does have adjustable side straps and loops to attach bunjees.
Pool cove
The pool cover is very light once placed on the pool which I have mix feelings on. The good thing about it been light weight is that once you start pulling it, it is a lot easier than others I have purchased and for someone who has pain in their hands or health issues this is a plus. That being said, we had strong winds one day and it blew part of the cover off the pool so you’ll need to secure it with other things if you don’t want it going missing. It does comes with some stakes to use but I chose not to use then and instead use clamps and that keeps the cover in place.
In my opinion it is a good quality but it gives me the impression that it can easily rip since at touch it feels very thin, again, there’s pro’s and con’s to this. For the price, it depends on you since pool covers are on the expensive side I feel this one is price ok.
Owning a pool is fun. Cleaning leaves, bugs, and random backyard debris out of it every day is not. That’s why I picked up this cover. The material felt thick when I took it out of the package. It doesn’t have that flimsy tarp-like feel that makes you wonder how long it’ll last. Once it was on the pool and the drawstring was tightened, it fit securely around the edge.
A few days after installing it, we got one of those windy afternoons. I checked the pool, expecting to find the cover half off or bunched up in one corner. It hadn’t moved. Even after the rain left water sitting on top, the cover stayed in place, and I didn’t notice any stretching or damage.
The biggest difference has been how much cleaner the pool stays between uses. There’s simply less stuff ending up in the water, which means less time spent skimming before jumping in. I’ve also noticed the water hangs onto a little more warmth overnight, which is nice when evenings start cooling down.
The reflective strips make it easy to spot after dark, which helps avoid accidentally walking into the cover when the backyard lights are low. The only challenge is that a 10-foot cover is a lot of material to wrestle with on your own the first couple of times. Once I got used to folding and positioning it, that became much easier.
It’s not the most exciting pool accessory I’ve owned, but it’s definitely one of the more useful ones, and it doesn’t cost too much for the value it brings.
