Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersPERFECT! BIG AND STURDY! 4 MEOW MEOWS!!
I bought 2 of these because for some reason my cats are getting more and more picky as they are getting older. I even bought the litter robot that they absolutely hate and never use anymore. I think what upsets me more is that it was over $700 dollars. I have 4 cats and I can already tell on the first day the smell is so much better. They sell ones like these on tiktok for more expensive but these are literally perfect for the price they are! The metal seems very sturdy which was something that I was afraid on. Looks like it will definity be easy to clean and use for my cats. My oldest boy weighs about 16 lbs.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersStainless steel beats Litter Robot and Cat Genie
Easily cleaned and a healthy choice when compared to high dollar litter boxes. I’ve owned a Litter Robot and a Cat Genie and while these cat boxes are attractive in concept and according to people who review litter boxes and each companies advertising they fall far short for long term use.

Start with the Cat Genie. It’s a great choice for a single and very small cat as long as you are willing to take it apart and deep clean at least twice a year. Mind you now this is acceptable if you have a very small, 5 pound, fully grown cat. Also the plastic this unit is made of absorbs the odors from feces and urine… You cannot rid the unit of these odors which gain in strength over time. Plus no matter what you do there will be times when the unit doesn’t properly scoop feces and you will come home to baked cat feces odor all through your house or garage, wherever the cat box is kept.

Litter Robot suffers from the same plastic absorbing qualities as the Cat Genie and while it does dump to a bin in the bottom of the unit anyone who claims they can’t smell any foul odors even when cleaning the unit daily is either intentionally misleading others or is nose blind. Litter boxes need to be cleaned on a daily basis to improve the living conditions for your cat as well as your own. Who wants a laundry room, garage, or other room in your house smelling like a cat box? Nobody I hope.

The main drawbacks of the two aforementioned litter boxes is the plastic material they are made of. Don’t believe anyone’s bs when they say it doesn’t absorb odors because they do.

This stainless steel litter box doesn’t absorb the odors, is much easier to clean, and with daily cleaning makes for a happier cat which equals happy cat parent. I have $800 worth of cat boxes stored in one of my sheds. Do yourself a favor by taking my advice when it comes to litter boxes. Go with the stainless steel one.

    good value
I bought the larger size, it’s great, still nice and shiny, not a scratch on it after several months use, cat’s love it.

rubber feet stay on well, don’t slip at all.

    Should be good for years.

Only downside is that it’s HUGE, takes half a 50 pound box of kitty litter to fill half way.

Golden Review Award: 1 From Our UsersGreat litter box...with a modification for high peeing cats.
Merlin is an older male cat with long legs and hip problems. He pees high on the side of the box, a good 8-9 inches. Even with the stainless steel box the litter sticks like glue to the sides, and sets up like concrete if you don’t stay on top of it. My solution is to use a silicone spatula to pry the litter from the side, without scratching the metal, then pick up the clumps with a litter scoop. It’s an extra step, but there is no perfect solution. The large metal box with higher sides and lower access is an ideal solution for Merlin, and the one piece construction is easier for me to clean. I use Boxie Probiotic Cat Litter.

UPDATE: “My solution” was short lived. Cleaning the hardened litter off the sides of the box daily was a short term solution; it was killing my back and taking up too much time daily. Now I line the sides with 11″ x 17″ copier transparency film and change it out as needed. VERY easy to maintain 🙂

    Perfect cat litter!!!
We were changing our plastic litter as it was damaged by the cat urine; this one being in stainless steel, never get affected and remains as new! Better for the environment and easier to clean! I recommande this produc

Very pleased with this litter box. I have moved away from plastic to stainless steel and really like the design and performance of this box, especially compared to some others I’ve tried. I love the little “step” on the opening, since my kitties like to place a paw on something while doing their business. This box is easy to clean and provides some privacy without being closed in. It has rubbery low feet to keep it in place on hard floors. The actual usable area in the bottom of the box is less than the advertised size of the box (they use overall measurements at the top of the box that also include the lip). Usable space at the bottom of the box is 20″ L x 13″ W. Height is accurate. This is plenty of room and it angles out just a bit at the top. I am also buying one with the entry on the short side for another room in my home where that works best. LOVE IT and most importantly, my cats use it!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFirst stainless steel cat box
These are pretty good litter boxes. I was using large plastic boxes for the last year, which I liked, however, they were not easy to clean and just never got clean enough for me. So I decided to try these stainless steel boxes which I got two to try. I still have my three other big plastic cat boxes and then one hooded box for my three cats.

These are easier to scoop the daily litter than the plastic ones cause you feel like you get all the stuff off the edges more thoroughly than you do in plastic. I haven’t emptied them and cleaned them by hand yet so I don’t know how that is but I’m only assuming from cleaning other stainless steel that it won’t be too bad.

They’re nice. I do wish they were a little bit deeper meaning like front to back wide so that my cats could turn around a little bit more easily because my two boys are about 14 pounds each and my little kitty girl is 9 pounds but it’s still kind of narrow inside. Nice and long, but you know like side to side, but the depth is not that wide.

These do not leak and I found these on a good sale so I’ll probably wait for another sale prior to buying more.

Perfect For My 14lb Cat! Will Never Have To Buy Another Litter Box
This is THE MOST durable litter box my cat has ever had. I had to switch from plastic litter boxes because they were incredibly difficult to clean, and the smell of urine NEVER went away no matter what.

My cat had also been voiding outside his litter box (on beds, couches, furniture) no matter what I tried, and weirdly enough, those patterns immediately stopped after he started using this (it’s been 6 months now without him peeing on any furniture.)

    PROS:

*super easy to clean! Urine does tend to stick to the sides of the box, but it’s so easy to wipe off with a disinfectant wipe or paper towel.

*much bigger than my cat’s previous litter box! The size difference could contribute to why he stopped voiding outside the litter box.

*I was worried about buying it because it doesn’t come with a top cover, but since my cat has to wear a cone now, it works perfectly!

    * stainless steel metal doesn’t absorb the smell of urine like plastic does, so as long as you also use a good brand of litter, you shouldn’t have to worry about your house smelling like cat

    * I don’t think I’ll ever have to buy another litter box! This is definitely made to last! It’s a bit pricier than what you’ll pay for with plastic litter boxes, but it’s 100% worth the investment!!

    * better for the environment! I read somewhere that you’re supposed to replace a plastic litter box EVERY year… and that’s really terrible for the environment. With this, it’s a one time investment

    CONS:

sides may not be high enough. My cat doesn’t always kick litter everywhere, but when he does… well, it’s a mess. He usually only does it on one side, so I placed a mat behind the box.

—> this is also a pro in a way because the 6in sides allow my cat to be able to enter the litter box while wearing a cone.

*the scratching noise is definitely more annoying because the box is made of metal, but I feel after using it for 6 months, It’s a lot more tolerable now. You just may have to get used to it.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersSaved my sanity, worth the purchase
Very expensive but saved my sanity. My cat kept peeing over the edge because she likes to back up against walls and cleanup and upkeep was a nightmare. The height of this makes it nearly impossible for her. I love that it’s large and has enough room for her, she’s small but a large cat would have plenty of room too. I think the steel looks better than a plastic box as well, and it’s very sturdy. No leaking or peeing over the edge! I like the entrance being on the longer side as well. Only downside is the irritating sound when the cat scratches the side but I can live with that. I’ve had no trouble with cleaning it. Seems expensive but others I’ve found were similar in price or more expensive but not what I wanted and this should last forever ideally

Golden Review Award: 46 From Our UsersGreat Stainless Steel Box!
In my opinion, this cat litter box is absolutely worth the money. I ended up getting two while they were on sale for $80 each, and it was a great decision.

Amazon is flooded with identical products from different sellers. It’s basically a graveyard of copy-paste items, most of them coming from the same few manufacturers in China. That’s especially true for stainless steel litter boxes; there just aren’t many truly different options out there because one or two manufacturers have dominated the market.

But this one stands out. It’s actually different and better.

I’ve had a hard time finding a litter box that meets all of my needs, which are:

Easy to clean and sterilize: While plastic is cheaper, I knew stainless steel would be better overall when it comes to controlling odor, preventing bacteria buildup, and allowing for deep cleaning. The corners are rounded which allows for easier cleaning and scooping.

High walls: My cat tends to back up and pee along the walls. If the box isn’t tall enough, he ends up peeing over the edge.

Large size: I have big cats (not overweight, just large), and I needed an XXL box that gives them enough space to move around comfortably.

This box checks all the boxes. The stainless steel is thick and high-quality, not flimsy or thin like some other options I’ve seen. Many stainless steel boxes come with a plastic wall extender to add height, but I hate that design. Plastic still traps smells, and with how high my cat pees, the urine would just collect in the creases where the plastic attaches. That defeats the purpose.

Overall, I’m super happy with this purchase and plan to buy another one when I can. Highly recommend!
