I got this for my unexpected rabbit. I was on a tight budget and needed a much better enclosure then what she was in so I bought this. In my opinion it’s kinda small for my rabbit size but I try to take her out as ofton and give her other enrichment stuff.
Pros: cheap price for the size. Easy to assemble, even for me who’s bad at instructions. My rabbit is able to stand up fully in the opening so good height there. It doesn’t seem unsafe besides I was worried she might hurt her feet on the ramp.
Cons: main cons were cleaning. The back corner is hard to clean. There are small cracks between the tiles and some poop and hay falls there. And the tiles are slippery but it is easier to clean, I just put pee pads, beds and towels down so she wasnt slipping.
Overall it isn’t bad, especially if you need one quick with a low budget. I do plan to hopefully upgrade when I’m an adult with my own place :]. Also friendly reminder, always do your research before getting an animal!!!
Questionable durability but cool concep
This cage is very cool, was a bit time consuming to put together but it was nice to be able to put it in whatever shape I wanted it in. Instructions were a little hard to follow and my guinea pigs were able to eat through one of the mats
Just got the cage today! (Don’t mind the bits of poop.) My guinea pig was a bit unsure at first, but he loves it now! Very spacious, he was popcorning (jumping out of excitement or happiness). It was quick and easy to assemble, took me about 40 minutes to an hour to set it up. One or two pieces of the cage were a bit out of place, but still very sturdy, I didn’t feel the need to use the zip ties. The size is great for my guinea since he’s just one. It’s quite light and sturdy enough to move as a whole from one side of the room to the other, even with the things that are already inside the cage. I consider it was worth the money, no complications for now and it seems safe enough for my guinea pig. The only thing I’d recommend for owners of small pets is to cover the ladder with some fabric so they don’t risk injury or even possibly breaking a leg since they’re legs might go through the bars and get caught.
I bought this cage for 3 tiny rats to live in for a few months til they can move in to our bigger cage. It’s easy to assemble and I like that it’s modular because we built it a tiny bit smaller for the first month that they lived in it. It’s easy to clean and the bar spacing keeps them from escaping. There’s plenty of ceiling space to hang hammocks and other climbing things for them. I don’t love the plastic clips that lock the doors. I’m afraid I’ll break them and every time we open or close it, the cage bars bang and it scares them so we’re going to find a better, more quiet solution. Maybe binder clips or something. Otherwise it’s a great temporary spot for small fur friends. I’ll keep it as a hospital cage when they’re done with it. It would be perfect for baby chicks too. It packs small and flat when not in use.
This set is exactly what I was looking for before I knew exactly what it was I wanted to do. I needed to find a way to separate my baby chickens from the larger ones until they get acclimated with each other. This is perfect. You can easily put the walls together with the clips provided and make it the size you need (I did not have to use everything for now, but if down the line I need to make adjustments I have that option. Once together it’s sturdy. There is a door panel that is easy to open and close. The panels are metal and the clips are plastic. It fit well in the area I wound up using. The structure is stable. I imagine that it will be easy to clean; I haven’t tried yet.
I LOVE IT! Looks to be made well, seems like it would be easy to clean, and since I got two sets I was able to build it too the perfect size and still have some left over for another one. Although two things to keep in mind would be which side of the panel you have facing the inside because if you have the side that isn’t 100% smooth on the inside it could get damaged and your pet could get out of its pen and get hurt. The second thing is you have to make sure the panel click or snap into the connectors all the way because this makes it more stable and leaves way less of a gap between the panels. As a side note I didn’t need to use the hammer because it felt kind of pointless and as for the zip ties I didn’t use them either because the pen felt pretty stable and I only have a kitten in it.
