The smartest countertop oven!
Today’s countertop ovens are modern kitchen appliances with specialized cooking functions that can handle a multitude of tasks. Despite the last decade’s advancements in SMART technology, no new features or designs have been introduced for this beloved appliance, and they seem to have been overlooked.
This countertop oven has been redesigned with cutting-edge Smart Home technology without compromising simple, user-friendly functionality. The Smart Home technology is deliberately managed behind the scenes to create a simple and intuitive interface for everyday chefs like you and me. My signature dishes, including roast chicken, lamb, and lasagna, have all turned out exceptionally well in this oven.
The display features one-touch capability and physical knobs, allowing you to program with complete precision: 12 specialty cooking functions, quantity, tray selection, and food options. The interface is so intuitive, I was able to start using the oven with confidence right away (I didn’t even read the instructions until later!). Or, you can have the same programming control of the oven using the featured app (which is intuitive and easy to use).
Without a doubt, the outstanding SMART technology feature is the wireless probe thermometer! This innovative high-tech tool has significantly improved the accuracy and precision of my cooking, resulting in superior dish outcomes. It’s always ready to use and can be conveniently recharged using a built-in magnetic housing on top of the oven.
Choosing the right countertop oven for your kitchen can be a daunting task with numerous factors to consider. This countertop oven is simply outstanding! Highly, highly recommend!
It's big but you can do SO many things in i
I’ve used air fryers for years and have owned several models, from devices that just air fry, to others that have ten functions like steam, slow cook, etc.
This multi-function cooker is a bit different than others I’ve used. The most obvious difference is the size, it’s quite large. I wasn’t sure if this was going to work in my kitchen with limited counter space but I gave it a ten days on my counter to see how it would work out.
It comes with several accessories, including an oven rack you can set pans on in it, a mesh air fryer rack and a shallow nonstick roasting rack that can sit in the oven just as the oven rack does, they slide into grooves on the sides. There is also a temperature probe that fits in a holder on the top and charges when the oven is plugged in. There’s a removable crumb tray that goes in the bottom, and an oven mitt also comes with it.
I decided to start simply with some roasted potatoes. I washed, diced and dried my potatoes and added some oil and seasonings and dumped them on the air fryer rack. I placed the rack in the middle of the oven, and set it to air fry. You can set temperature and time on this device, and there’s a light inside that turns on when you open it, that’s very handy (you can also turn it on when the oven is closed). The potatoes came out great; I pulled the rack out and gave the potatoes a shake partway through to ensure even cooking, and they came out crisp on the outside just as they should.
One difference from traditional air fryers, you’re not going to be able to wash this in the sink when you’re done, and you will get a bit of dripping when using the mesh air fryer rack. The removable crumb tray will catch much of it but you might need to give the elements on the bottom a wipe when they cool.
My next experiment was whole chickens, and the above is one reason why I used the roasting rack instead of the air fryer rack, it would have made a mess in the bottom. While the size of the cooker means it takes up a lot of space, you can also cook larger meals in this. Although there’s normally just two of us at home these days, I do meal prep so sometimes I’m cooking larger quantities for the freezer.
I put two smallish chickens side by side on the roasting rack easily. I used the temperature probe for this meal, inserted it into one of the chickens and put the rack in the upper position. Using the probe, you select what you’re cooking and it will automatically choose a suitable temperature, stopping when it gets to temp.
My chickens quickly started getting a bit too brown on top. A look at the manual indicated I can lower the cooking temperature so that’s what I did, and added a bit of foil to the top of the meat so they wouldn’t brown further. It beeped and stopped cooking when it got to the appropriate temperature for chicken; I verified with my own meat thermometer, it was cooked perfectly. The probe stores in a holder that magnetically attaches to the top of the oven so you won’t lose it.
Since then I’ve experimented with cooking with the roasting rack and the air fryer rack at the same time, that works quite well if you’re wanting to add say, potatoes halfway through your meat cooking. I have baking sheets that fit neatly into this oven too if I use the rack. I found the roasting rack was a bit difficult to remove baked-on food so I’ve been using parchment paper on it since my first chicken experiment.
Overall this is a really versatile device. You can roast, bake, airfry, broil, dehydrate, toast, keep your meal warm. You can even proof dough or cook a pizza. The size seemed like a negative at first for me, but you can skip using your regular oven and do almost everything in this.
There’s a couple things I’ll miss about the multicooker I’ve been using for the last year (like a steam and slow cook function) but I’ve decided I can live with that. The size and all the settings on this, as well as the temperature probe, has sold me. This is a great product.
4.5/5
This Typhur Sync Oven is a thoughtfully engineered toaster oven air fryer that has some of the best air fryer capabilities you can get out of a toaster oven air fryer, on par with and potentially more even cooking than the often superior basket air fryers. This is largely thanks to its fan placement and size, which is very similar to basket air fryers: large (roughly 6-7″) and positioned over the top.
This large fan moves a lot of heat quickly and evenly, leading to really even cooking and much shorter bake time.
This oven looks and feels well built, with the walls being relatively well insulated stainless steel sheets (not a ton of heat emitted from it), heavy duty hinges, and primarily stainless steel accessories (and an enamel coated roasting rack).
There are multiple fan settings depending on the preset chosen, though the fan unfortunately can not turn off except for the proofing feature which has a low max temperature.
The temperature probe that comes with it is really easy to use and store. Racks can still be stored on top of the toaster oven without much issue even though the probe is also stored on top. If you’re not careful you might tap the probe or knock it off, but unlikely.
Cooking is very even and quick. The Typhur cooks quicker than my previous toaster oven, and much more evenly. You may not need to move food around when air frying it, which is really impressive. Cooking is so quick that things may burn if you cook them at normal times. You may need to reduce cooking time by more than 25-30%, or lower temperature so things can cook more evenly inside and out, given fast convection cooking more noticeably cooks the outside more than the inside.
Couple cons:
– The only real issue I’ve noticed is rarely when heating up something in the top of the fan will vibrate slightly, which is mildly annoying and can shake the pans on top of it. Tapping the top of the oven will usually stop the vibration, which makes me think there may be a bit of play near the fan/heater. This issue rarely occurs.
– The cookies setting runs the fan on low speed, but it’s still moving enough air to keep heating even. The problem is that because the oven is so much faster at cooking – even true on the low fan speed cookies preset – that larger cookies may be undercooked on the inside and/or darker brown than preferable on the outside. If I want my batch of large cookies to be cooked perfectly, I still use the conventional oven. This convection oven works quite well for smaller cookies though, and well enough for larger cookies if you figure out the right temp. The toaster oven recommends 330F for cookies, often 325F is recommended (25F lower than normal 350F), but I’ve found that even 320F is too high of a cooking temp for larger cookies, as they can be fully cooked on the outside but raw on the inside, like was the case with my 100gram (~1/3rd cup) chocolate chip cookies cooked at 320F. My 80g sugar cookies cooked at 300F seemed more similar to conventional, but were still more browned on the exterior than desirable.
This little countertop oven checks all of the boxes for me.
First, even at its highest tempeture for baking bread at 450 the outside of the unit is warm to the touch but will not burn your hand.
It has all of the settings one would want for an oven to do icluding, reheat, PROOF (for bread) broil, stay warm etc. I love it and the best of all of this was my experience with their customer service. I started having an electrical glich with the unit soon after I bought it and reported the problem to the company. Well, then it stopped having that problem but intermittently did. The light would come on by itself and sometimes I could not get the oven to turn on. So, this ensued off and on for several months until I decided to once again contact customer service to report my problem. They took my information and then informed me that they would be happy to replace the unit. All I needed to do was send my unit back after receiving the replacement. Which they did and I did and VOILA, problem solved just like that. No rigamarole, no hassle just excellent customer service.
I’ve had the oven about a week now and have used it numerous times. The air fried wings came out perfect. The oven baked chicken was perfectly cooked thanks to the probe and crisped up nicely. Toast is fast and just the right color each time. I give the oven high marks for the value and features. The oven’s performance exceeds my expectations. The only reason I did not give this gem 5 stars is due to the oven door handle. When open, the door handle hits the counter top preventing it from opening fully. When the oven is hot, pulling something out is an issue due to the door not opening fully. Otherwise, I highly recommend this oven.
Simply said, it’s great!
My wife absolutely loves this little oven. It has a bunch of options to choose from for cooking. You can use it as an air fryer, oven, you can cook perfect crispy wings, as well as a nice piece of steak with the included thermometer.
Since it’s very little compared to the regular house stove, its much easier and quicker to clean it.
It’s a must have for any home!
Delivery was prompt. Wasn’t sure what to expect on the oven but the controls were fairly intuitive and have used several of the settings. Performs well on everything that we’ve used it for. The instructions are basic but adequate to get you cooking. The size was a little larger than anticipated, it is deeper and takes up more counterspace but you can cook a chicken in it! Looks great sitting on the counter. Not too industrial and the buttons and knobs make changing settings easy.
Color me impressed! So far I really like this Typhur Sync oven. My first test was a frozen pizza. Unfortunately, it was overcooked. I really can’t remember at this moment the exact temperature/time settings I used. (Probably used the box directions.) However, next time I’m going to just select the pizza setting on the oven and trust it. This is a convection oven, so I shouldn’t have used the box directions. My next test was a big one. I cooked a 5.6 pound rib roast for Christmas. I selected “beef”, then “medium well”, then hit start. After the preheat was completed, I put the roast in the oven. Of course, before putting it in the oven I inserted the wireless temperature probe. I had taken the roast out of the fridge to let it get to room temperature an hour or so earlier. The probe said its internal temperature was 56 degrees, and the target temperature would be 140 degrees. I looked at other ovens as well, but selected this Typhur for its wireless probe and phone app that would track the oven progress and alert me when it was completed. The oven is downstairs, and this app would save me much stair work. It worked great! Love the little app. I checked the app from time to time for cooking progress, and it would tell me its current internal temperature and the target temperature. Also told me the time to completion. Amazing. It “dinged” my phone when the oven was done. I went downstairs and removed the roast. It looked fantastic. Of course while sitting on the counter top, the roast continued to cook internally while we were getting everything else set up on the dining table, thereby making it more like “well done” when we were finally ready to eat. After slicing it, the meat looked great. Not as pink as I wanted, but that was due to the “internal cooking” it did. I think next time, I’m selecting “medium”. Then it might be more like “medium well” when we’re ready to eat. Also, did I mention that the cook time was just a little over 90 minutes? Couldn’t believe how fast it cooked. My next test was cooking a pork tenderloin “medium well”. It took 33 minutes, and turned out great. Again, I’m very happy with this purchase. Back story… Years ago we remodeled our kitchen in a previous house, and not wanting to discard a perfectly good wall oven, I built a box for it and kept the oven in our garage to act as our second oven. Well, after 26 years it finally started failing. (Couldn’t blame it for all the hot summer and cold winter cycles it went through.) Repair cost would be unreasonably high, even if the parts were available. Looking to replace it would cost anywhere between $450 (for a “no name” oven) and $1000 or more (for a “known brand” oven). I then saw these counter top ovens. After some study, I gambled and selected this Typhur Sync for $230 (also a “no name” brand to me at the time). Glad I did.
Terrific air fryer / oven. I bought it to replace my smaller air fryer. It does that, and more. Since I only have one oven in my kitchen, this serves as a backup. Large enough to many things. Air Fry / Roast / Bake etc. The wifi connectivity is helpful — lets me set up and run a task, and lets me know when done. The included and integrated wireless temperature probe is great. Set up your roast and forget it. Get a notification when done. It is also quiet! Great buy.
10/10 product. Best on the market.
This thing is bomb. I can confirm that it is legit and cooks way more effectively than a lot of of the other options, especially for oven air fryers, but even against basket air fryers we originally got a ninja dual basket, vertical stacked air fryer and had to return it because of a weird whining noise. I’m so glad we did because this thing has been killer. The thermometer option for reverse searing stakes makes it so easy to get it to the exact temperature and then sear it for 90 seconds on each side. even in general regular air frying stuff is great in here. Pretty easy to clean everything fits in the dishwasher, but also it’s easy to clean with a sponge. It’s pretty big and can fit a lot of things and the best part is The front end is very user-friendly. My fianc had a hard time figuring out working the ninja, she found this to be much more intuitive to work with
