Sturdy , well made sign and stand - just buy your own chalk markers...
Good sturdy sign. I use it for my vegetable and flower stall outside my home. I like that I can remove the sign at the end of the day to stop it getting stolen. Just lift it off the hooks.
The base is solid and seems to survive the UK weather, though I will bring it inside over winter. It gives a really nice clear display and takes chalk markers very well. Looks really smart and helps customers see prices clearly from the roadside.
It comes with some chalks, but I prefer chalk markers as they give a better finish and are much easier to use. All in, a really nice stand and sign.
Everything we needed!
Chalkboard was smooth, pens were highly pigmented, everything was easy and simple to use, and the whole thing feels very durable and trustworthy.
The only issue I encountered was that 3 of the 4 plastic feet were cracked a bit, as though they were a bit too small for the legs, but they weren’t loose and the cracks were small.
All in all an amazing buy!

A really nice double-sided swinging chalkboard. Great for using as a street/market sign.
It arrives boxed with assembly needed, though putting it together is thankfully quick and easy. All screws and fixings are supplied, but there are no spares, so be sure not to lose anything. The frame consists of a chunky oval base and tubular framework. The chalkboard itself is wooden. It may have been nice if the board was actually metal too, but the plywood works fine and keeps the whole thing quite lightweight if you plan to transport it around. If you do intend to use it infrequently, I would suggest you keep the box and inner packing as it enables you to pack it away neat and safe when not in use.
While the base is pretty substantial, it probably isn’t up to withstanding strong winds, but you can always put a sandbag or weight on it.
The board also comes with a cloth, 4 white chalk pencils and a pack of chunky coloured chalks. They’re fine, but if you want to put something more permanent on the board, it would be better to use chalk pens or even paint pens.
One thing that would have been useful with this sign is a box or compartment that fits into the base to hold all the screws and fittings. It would then be ideal for taking to markets and events.
Overall, it’s a nice product. If you run a market stall, have a pub, shop, or regularly do fairs and fetes, then it’s really useful. It is perhaps overpriced for what it is, but it’s a good quality chalkboard.
Came damaged but still usable.
Update April 2025: the board did not last outside. It apparently has a wood or particle type core and it did not hold up in the weather.
Product seems Sturdy, however if did come damaged in the bottom corner. Since it will be used outside the damage will hopefully not affect the durability of product. Seems to be good value. I didn’t write on it I used vinyl, but the texture of it seems like it would be hard to use with regular chalk that is provided. Would definitely need to be at least a chalk marker.
