Product description

This is just what I was looking for. I have a sailboat moored in the Med, and I always take a lot of stuff for the boat with me when I fly over there. The Stover 100L is perfect for the job as I can roll it up and easily store it on the boat once I unload all the stuff.
It is well made with with nylon support webbing stitched to the heavy duty fabric up both sides terminating in lifting handles on top. It has the same support webbing for both ends with lifting handles both ends. There are also adjustable cross support straps on the top which are really a great touch. Overfill it like I do and have trouble closing the zipper? Just attach and tighten the cross support straps and it pulls the zipper opening closed for an easy zip up.
Although I dont use them, it has a nice set of padded backpack straps. What is great are hidden pockets where you can detach the backpack straps at the buckle and then tuck both ends into the hidden pockets. No worry about the backpack straps getting torn off by the baggage handling equipment.
The wheels are very robust, and should last for years and years. There are also three separate zip up pockets on the outside of the bag, one on each side and one on the top. The bag is also has an inside liner.
All in all a great bag at a very reasonable price. So I great I bought a second one, which shows you how much stuff I using them to haul halfway across the world.
Sturdy, multi ways to carry and large capacity for the win!
Purchased for my daughter to use for camp. I bought the one size up from the smallest size and it’s perfect for a week away at camp that held a pillow, towels, toiletries, clothes and books. The material of the bag is sturdy and there are clips by the zipper closure that helps the bag keep its shape and “push” everything in.
The bag has several options for carrying which I like. The wheels glide easily and the handles to pick up are perfect even for this momma! We haven’t used the backpack straps but again it’s great to have the option!
Highly recommend this bag – a great value for an item that I see lasting a long time.
Great product! My two sons used this rugged bag as a soft trunk for 2-week camp in the Sierra’s. Highly recommend. It can be a backpack and also wheeled through an airport. Material and zippers are sturdy. The U-zip is a differentiator with easy access. Very large bag that fits clothes for 2-weeks.
Its a yes!
He likes it! It doesn’t go down to his knees, straps are in the right place. So size is perfect, he likes quality. He feels it will good for travel. He says it’s very durable, yes it’s is thin material.
My wife and I were going on a European bicycle trip, using panniers (saddlebags) to carry all of our belongings, and we were searching for a duffel bag with wheels to help us get everything moved from place to place when we were not on our bikes (airports, trains, taxis, walking intercity, etc.) We each got one of these bags, and were very happy with them. They’re top-loading, with a durable easy-to-use zipper. They have a couple of outside pockets (3, actually), they work well as a backpack, they work reasonably well as a pull-behind wheeled bag, and—best of all—when empty they roll up very well and, wrapped with a small bungee, stowed easily on the top of our bike racks. My wife mildly complained that the strap used when pulling the bag on wheels was not long enough and resulted in that process being bulky and awkward. I’m not sure a longer strap would have made that all better Both bags went through our trip with flying colors and after three weeks on the job and two international flights, numerous train rides, and days of cycling, they still look brand new. There are many many less expensive bags out there, but we never once doubted that we had chosen the best bag for us. My wife packed her duffel with loose clothes and belongings, and rented panniers and picked them up along with our bikes in Italy. Alternatively, I used panniers from home, and was able to fit my two fully-loaded panniers into the dufflebag for traveling. Happy customers we are.
We are headed to Africa for a multi-week Safari. We also want to carry-on our luggage for the international flights. This 45L bag is the ONLY bag that meets the requirements:
1) When traveling by small planes between safari camps, you are limited to soft-sided luggage less than 60L. And they are serious about that. There are many soft-sided duffels that will work. And there are many soft-sided duffels with wheels, but they have a hard back-plate and hard handle that those intra-camp airplanes will not allow. There are bigger soft-sided duffels with wheels and no hard back-plate and handle, but they are too big.
2) To carry-on your luggage, international flights generally limit the size to 45L.
So this is the ONLY duffel that meets all my requirements. 45L to carry-on international flights. Wheels to make it easier to carry. Completely soft sided with no hard back-plate and hard handle.
Also: This bag is pretty heavy (at 4.5 pounds) and pretty heavy duty. Thick material and zippers. It has a “flap” above the shoulder straps that seems to be pretty useless.
