I have a Milwaukee 25 and Stanley. I had an old Stanley that lasted until it was stolen a week ago, some 25 years after I got it. I bought the 35 and 25 foot models. the 35 as a gift. This 25 footer is good. It has a click type brake rather than a proportional friction one like the Milwaukee. Also this Stanley is not reinforced where as the Milwaukee is doubled up for the first foot. I like that. The Stanley is easy to read even in low light. The return spring seems weak but that just means it doesn’t snap back into the case so you don’t have to use your finger to buffer it on return, I still do though. Habit. Overall I am happy. This seems as good as the one I bought so many years ago.
